DeepSeek Harness (DSH) adopts a plugin-based architecture and extends its functionality through extension plugins. For developers operating in non-English environments, language adaptation of the interface directly affects the user experience. dsh-locale-ko is a Korean language pack provided specifically for the DSH Web UI and desktop applications. It translates the core DSH interface into Korean and extends translation support to some third-party plugins and experimental features.

The main features of this plugin include:
* Translating the Web UI and desktop application interface into Korean.
* Adding a 한국어 option to the language list in settings.
* Translating menus, buttons, operational guidance, and error prompts in the main interface.
* Supporting translation of some third-party plugins, including multiple components from dshmarket, dsh-context, dsh-mnemon, dsh-pet, dsh-plugin-model-proxy, dsh-univer-office, as well as the @linxin666/* and @michengai/* series.
* Supporting translation of experimental features in DSH, such as agent teams, voice input, reasoning translation, session logs, and NodeJS inspector.
Installation and Enablement¶
Installing this plugin requires specific versions of DeepSeek Harness: Web version 0.2.1-alpha.2, desktop version 0.2.0-rc.2.
Web UI Installation¶
Run the following commands in the terminal to install the plugin, then restart the Web service:
npx @deepseek-ai/dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-locale-ko
npx @deepseek-ai/dsh web
Desktop Application Installation¶
It can be installed via command line or graphical interface.
Command line:
1. Ensure the dsh command has been registered (via the application menu DeepSeek Harness > Manage dsh Command…).
2. Run in the terminal:
dsh plugin --profile desktop add dsh-locale-ko
- Restart the desktop application.
Graphical interface:
1. Open the application and go to Plugins > Add plugin.
2. Enter dsh-locale-ko in the input field (do not include the dsh plugin ... prefix).
3. Click Install, and after installation completes, click Enable now.
Language Selection¶
After installation and enablement, the plugin takes effect automatically. If the system or browser language is set to Korean, the interface switches automatically. If it does not switch automatically, you need to select it manually in settings: Settings > General > Language, and choose 한국어.
Translation Scope and Limitations¶
Note that this plugin cannot translate the following:
* Plugin list information: Plugin names and descriptions in the plugin list (read from files), including official and third-party plugins.
* Application-specific interface elements: macOS menu bar, startup window, and update dialog.
* Hard-coded strings: Some plugins directly write interface strings in code. These plugins (such as dsh-better-sidebar, dsh-cost-meter, dsh-mcp-connector, and dsh-free-search) cannot be translated by this language pack.
* New features: Newly added DSH features or new features in third-party plugins remain in English until the language pack is updated.

The license for this plugin is MIT. It is developed in a Node.js 24 environment, using Biome for code formatting and linting.
