dsh-settings-ui: Settings Window Customization

DSH (DeepSeek Harness) adopts a plugin-based architecture where everything is extensible. When configuring agents or workflows in the native settings panel, the default window size, background transparency, or color scheme may not meet practical viewing needs. The dsh-settings-ui plugin directly targets the native settings window, allowing adjustments to its size, background transparency, and background color, with support for real-time light/dark theme switching.

Core Features¶

Window Size: Supports default size, large size, extra-large size, fullscreen mode, or custom width/height (minimum 480×360, auto-shrinks on small screens).
Background Opacity: Supports adjustment from 30% to 100%, enabling a translucent frosted glass effect in combination with light/dark themes.
Background Settings: Provides “Theme Default” or “Solid Color” options. The plugin includes one preset color for each of the light and dark themes, and the background updates in real time when the theme changes.
Immediate Effect: Changes made in the settings panel take effect immediately. Settings are persisted with the dsh profile.

Installation and Activation¶

Run the following command in the terminal to install the plugin:

dsh plugin --profile web add @weibaohui/dsh-settings-ui -w

After installation, you need to restart the dsh web command-line process for the plugin to take effect.

Typical Usage¶

Open DSH Web UI.
Go to the “Settings” page.
Find “Settings UI” in the left navigation bar.
On this page, adjust the size, drag the slider to set opacity, and choose a background style.
Close and reopen the settings window to see the adjusted effect. In fullscreen mode, you can view the conversation and settings content simultaneously.

Notes¶

Scope: The size, transparency, and background settings only affect the native settings window itself and do not affect other DSH interfaces (such as the main chat window).
Technical Details: The plugin selector uses the stable attribute [data-shortcut-modal="settings"] and no longer relies on the volatile hash class names from CSS Modules. Therefore, the selector remains valid even if the dsh internal build version is updated.
Configuration Persistence: Settings are saved with the current dsh profile. When upgrading from an older version, residual configurations are handled automatically on first run.
Version Compatibility: The plugin depends on @deepseek-ai/dsh version >=0.2.0-rc.2.
