Introduction¶

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) extends its capabilities through a plugin mechanism. In agent development, enabling conversations to directly produce images or videos requires integration with dedicated image/video generation APIs. Manually handling API calls and saving results to disk can be cumbersome. The dsh-jumeng-image-video-tool plugin introduced in this article integrates Jumeng AI and standardizes this workflow.

Configuration and Usage¶

Configure the API Key¶

1. Open the Web UI.
2. Go to Settings → Plugins → Plugin Configuration.
3. Expand Jumeng Media.
4. Paste the API key and save (credentials are written to the database, not to a plaintext file).

You can also set the environment variable JUMENG_API_KEY.

Basic Configuration Items¶

• apiKey / apiKeyEnv: authentication method.
• baseUrl: defaults to https://www.jumengai.com/v1 (international version: https://www.jumai.ai/v1).
• imageModel / videoModel: default models.
• outputDir: defaults to ./outputs.

Typical Usage¶

Directly enter instructions in the conversation:

• “Use Jumeng to list image-generation models”
• “Generate a cyber city nightscape”
• “Use this image to generate a 5-second vertical video”

Notes¶

• File limits: images (JPEG/PNG/GIF/WEBP) are up to 10MB, and videos (MP4/MOV/WebM) are up to 100MB.
• Expiration: URLs obtained from uploads expire after approximately 1 hour; the same key: up to 50 files per hour.
• Permissions and security: the plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. It is recommended to review the source code and license before installation.
• Asset reuse: if you need to reuse the same asset multiple times, it is recommended to explicitly call upload_file first to obtain a URL, then pass it to the generation interfaces.
