Preface¶
The DeepSeek Harness (DSH) sidebar groups sessions by working directory, showing only the most recent few for each directory and listing only registered directories. When switching between multiple folders, old sessions in unregistered directories disappear. Additionally, ideas that come to mind later have nowhere to be recorded, so they are either forgotten or forcibly interrupt the current workflow. This plugin provides a global panel that displays sessions from all directories in a flattened list and adds a locally stored “Late Ideas” area.
Plugin Overview¶
dsh-recent-sessions is a Memory-type plugin maintained by huangxp12. It aggregates sessions scattered across different directories in DSH and provides a feature to temporarily store ideas without waking up a session. These ideas are stored locally only and are not sent to the host or cloud.
Core Features¶
Cross-Directory Session List¶
- Full display: Shows sessions from all working directories, including collapsed workspaces in the sidebar and unregistered directories.
- Directory filtering: Each row has a directory label on the right; clicking it filters to show only sessions from that directory.
- Time grouping: Grouped into Today, Yesterday, This week, and Earlier.
- Sorting: Supports “Relevant Recently” or “Least Recently Active” sorting.
Session Details and Preview¶
- Last question preview: Displays the last human question in the session (based on the
turnOutlineprojection); hovering shows a preview of the assistant’s reply. - Filter options: Supports filtering unfinished sessions, sessions containing empty content, and sessions containing sub-sessions.
- Search: Supports searching the host’s message content index, as well as local filtering by title or path.
Late Ideas¶
- Local storage: Ideas recorded in a list row are saved only to local
localStorageand are not sent. - Draft backfill: Next time the session is opened, a small bar appears above the input box, allowing the idea to be inserted into the draft via the official API, or selecting “Don’t disturb for now” or discard.
Other Features¶
- Standalone window: Supports opening the panel in a standalone window.
- Privacy protection: Zero writes to host data; no tools or routes are registered.
Installation and Enablement¶
Run the following command in the DSH environment to install:
dsh plugin --profile <你的 profile> add dsh-recent-sessions
Typical Usage¶
- Record an idea: Write an idea in the “Late Ideas” area or a session list row; it will automatically appear next time the corresponding session is opened.
- Find content: Use the search box to directly retrieve historical message content, combined with filter options to quickly locate a session.
- Adjust the view: Click a directory label to filter, or switch the sorting mode (for example, use “most recent activity” to view the latest updates).
Notes¶
- Environment requirements: Requires DSH version
>= 0.2.0-rc.2, and the host requires Node.js^22.19.0 || >=24.0.0. - Standalone window behavior: The standalone window loads the full DSH shell; no lightweight version is currently available.
- Preview limitation: Question previews include only the first 30 lines of content.
- Desktop capability: The “Show in File Manager” feature depends on the host reporting desktop capability; if unsupported, the button is hidden and falls back to copying the path.
