DeepSeek Harness (DSH) desktop version has a relatively uniform default interface style. If you want to customize the wallpaper, you can use the DSH Custom Wallpaper plugin. This plugin allows users to set any local image as the background and adjust the related parameters in real time.
This plugin is maintained by developer Ansellwan, belongs to the UI / Appearance · Theme and Wallpaper category, and is licensed under MIT. It customizes the background by injecting locally stored image data.
Core features include: using any local image as the wallpaper background; adjusting wallpaper opacity, blur level, interface transparency, and dimming in real time; and storing all parameters and image data in local localStorage, with no external services involved.
Installation and activation:
Ensure that the DeepSeek Harness desktop version is installed, then use the CLI to install the plugin by running the following command:
dsh plugin --profile desktop add dsh-ui-wallpaper
After installation, restart the DSH application to activate it.
Typical usage:
1. Open Settings in the lower-left corner, and click Wallpaper in the navigation bar.
2. Click the dashed box to select a local image, or drag the image directly into the panel, or paste it by pressing Ctrl+V within the wallpaper page.
3. Drag the sliders to fine-tune the parameters, and the effect will be previewed in real time behind the panel.
Notes:
* The plugin runs purely locally, with no external services, no network requests, and no data uploaded.
* It writes only to local localStorage (wallpaper parameters and image data).
* The Ctrl+V paste function works only within the wallpaper settings panel and does not affect other pages.
* After a major DSH version update, the wallpaper may stop displaying due to interface structure changes; you will need to wait for compatibility support.
