Preface¶

The philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” When building agent workflows, we often need to handle documents, diagrams, or complex business descriptions. SpecDev Workbench is a plugin designed for this purpose. It combines traditional document and Archify diagram readers with interactive 3D rooms. Through it, you can browse content in space or use AI skills to generate walkable 3D scenes.

Core Features¶

The plugin provides the following capabilities:
1. Document and diagram browsing: Supports browsing Markdown documents, interactive workflows, and lifecycle diagrams.
2. AI-generated 3D rooms: Uses AI skills to create 3D rooms with forest or ceramic themes and includes 12 built-in furniture models.
3. Spatial interaction: Walks through the room and uses objects such as bookshelves and desks to open material lists.
4. Atmosphere control: Supports adjusting brightness, rain, reflections, and sound effects.
5. Scene export: Exports an HTML file containing the room and materials so others can browse it without installing the plugin.

Installation and Enablement¶

Before installation, ensure that DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is installed. This plugin has been validated on Windows DSH Desktop and Web 0.2.0-rc.2.

Windows Desktop Installation¶

Run the following commands in PowerShell (replace $DesktopDir with your actual DSH installation directory):

After installation, find SpecDev Workbench in the DSH sidebar.

Typical Usage¶

1. Select a workspace¶

In DSH, select a Git project as the workspace.

2. Register materials¶

In the DSH chat, use the specdev-business skill to register business documents and design diagrams in the project.

3. Create a room¶

In the chat, use the specdev-room skill to create a 3D room. For example, you can specify a forest or ceramic themed room and let the AI arrange it based on existing materials.

4. Explore and export¶

Refresh the workbench and enter the generated room for walking interaction. After reading, you can export an HTML file containing the room.

Notes¶

• Permissions and network: Source links require network connectivity and access permissions.
• Write-operation scope: The plugin’s only write operation is to add annotated tags to Git commits and does not modify files, branches, or commits in business projects.
• Compatibility: Currently mainly validated on Windows DSH Desktop and Web 0.2.0-rc.2.

SpecDev Workbench provides a way to transform flat documents into spatial scenes. For scenarios requiring visual presentation of project materials or immersive design, it is a practical tool.
