DeepSeek Harness Multi-CLI Agent Sidebar Plugin: dsh-cliworker-now

When building AI-driven development workflows, it is often necessary to call multiple external CLI tools simultaneously. Manually switching between terminal windows can interrupt your thought process and make it difficult to reuse historical context. The dsh-cliworker-now plugin is designed to address this pain point by integrating scattered external CLIs into the DeepSeek Harness sidebar, enabling unified management and scheduling.

dsh-cliworker-now is a standalone multi-CLI agent sidebar plugin for DeepSeek Harness. It allows users to configure different external CLIs within Harness (such as Codex, Kimi Code, etc.) and assign roles to them while managing accounts and model preferences. The plugin displays task status, independent conversation history, and execution results in the sidebar, supporting direct follow-up conversations after a task is finished without needing to re-describe the context.

Core Features

  1. Independent Conversations and Task Status Tracking
    Each CLI agent has an independent conversation window, supporting access to historical records and current task status. The sidebar allows filtering of in-progress, completed, and failed tasks.

  2. Role Presets and Task Follow-ups
    The plugin supports role presets for agents, making them easier to reuse. After a task ends, users can directly continue asking questions in the sidebar without needing to re-describe the background.

  3. Account and Model Management
    Each CLI independently manages its account and default model, preserving native capabilities. Users can configure the model catalog, thinking intensity, and refresh the model list as needed.

  4. Controllable Scheduling
    Each CLI can be independently enabled or disabled. Tasks are executed according to explicit selections, and when a task fails, it will not silently fall back to another CLI.

Installation and Enablement

Before use, ensure the host environment meets the following requirements:
* DeepSeek Harness 0.2.0-rc.2
* Node.js >= 22.19.0

Run the following command in the terminal to install:

dsh plugin --profile desktop add dsh-cliworker-now@latest

After installation, restart DeepSeek Harness for the changes to take effect.

Typical Usage

  1. Code Review and Follow-up Questions
    In the main conversation, specify Codex to review the code. After the review results are returned, click the Codex task card in the sidebar and directly enter follow-up instructions such as “Please optimize the memory management of this code.”

  2. Multi-Role Collaboration
    Configure different agent roles for different needs, such as logic checking, writing style polishing, and business review. Each agent maintains an independent conversation flow in the sidebar without interfering with one another.

Notes

  • Dependencies and Quotas: The plugin depends on DeepSeek Harness and external CLIs, and does not include model services, subscriptions, or API quotas. Model requests from CLIs are handled by their respective service providers.
  • Accuracy: The plugin does not guarantee improvements to the accuracy of the underlying models.
  • Permissions: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process and does not add an additional operating-system process sandbox (security is guaranteed by the host Harness).
  • Platforms: Supports macOS and Windows.

By “collecting” external CLI tools into the Harness sidebar, this plugin enables task organization and context continuity. If you are looking for a more efficient multi-tool collaboration solution, you can view details on SkillHub or visit the GitHub repository.
