DeepSeek Harness (DSH) Multi-Session Collaboration Plugin: dsh-team-link

Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) sessions are isolated by default. dsh-team-link addresses the pain points of multi-session collaboration, enabling multiple sessions running in parallel within the same DSH instance to discover each other, exchange cross-session messages, and share team state and context. The plugin was originally named dsh-session-link-pro and was renamed to dsh-team-link on 2026-09-18.

Core Capabilities

This plugin provides the following core features:

  1. Session deep links: Supports generating and opening session deep links using the /s/<id> format.
  2. Full session export: Supports exporting complete sessions to Markdown or JSON format.
  3. Approved cross-session messaging: Implements approved cross-session messaging with a pairing mechanism.
  4. Team identity/lifecycle: Manages the full lifecycle of team identity, including team roster, watchdog, broadcast, and rotation.
  5. Cross-session watchdog: Provides cross-session health monitoring.
  6. Read-only team status card: Provides a read-only team status card.
  7. Team roster and blackboard: Provides a team roster and a shared task board.
  8. Team rotation: Supports team rotation using the revive or reappoint commands.
  9. Strategy configuration: Supports strategy configuration.

Relationship to Built-in Agent Teams

This plugin is orthogonal to DSH’s built-in Agent Teams. The two operate at different levels:
* Built-in Agent Teams: Oriented toward collaboration within a single process and session (subagents and task boards), with a trust model based on in-session authorization.
* dsh-team-link: Oriented toward cross-session and cross-process collaboration, with an independent identity and trust system (pairing, token rotation, symmetric revocation).

Typical Usage

  • Open a deep link: Use the /s/<id> command to jump to a specific session.
  • Inspect crash data: Use team_link_status action=forensics to view forensic data.
  • Team rotation: Use revive or reappoint to perform team role handover.
  • Coordinator session alerts: The coordinator session may emit two messages: [idle-unassigned] (there is work but no one has been assigned) and [pressure-warn] (its own load is too high).

Notes

  • Historical log retention: Historical session logs retain old tool names (such as session_link_pro_*) and message prefixes (such as slp-) without retroactive rewriting, to preserve the integrity of the forensic chain.
  • Crashes and exits: The plugin only preserves crash-site evidence and does not distinguish between normal exit and crash. You need to combine it with the host’s crash logs for diagnosis.
  • File permissions: The plugin does not read any host files.
  • Host limitations: The plugin cannot prevent the coordinator from directly reading session history through host tools (this is a host-level operation).
  • Orthogonality: Built-in Agent Teams and this plugin are orthogonal. They are not an either/or choice; select according to the scenario.
