DeepSeek Harness Task Chime Plugin (task-chime)

task-chime is a lightweight notification sound plugin designed specifically for DeepSeek Harness to address the issue of users inadvertently missing approvals or task status updates due to distraction during agent runs. It uses auditory feedback to ensure critical events are not overlooked, supports customizing sounds and volume via a Web GUI, and persists configuration settings. Core features include playing local audio for permission requests and task completion. The plugin performs in-process playback using the native Windows MCI interface and supports configuration through a Web interface or a YAML configuration file. It currently supports Windows only and must strictly follow synchronous MCI calling conventions to ensure stability.
