dsh-screenshot: A WeChat-Style Screenshot Plugin for DeepSeek Harness
dsh-screenshot is a screenshot plugin built specifically for DeepSeek Harness Web, designed to streamline debugging and demonstration workflows. It integrates into the toolbar and supports two modes: “Capture Screen Area” and “Capture with Windows Hidden.” It uses local PowerShell to crop and process images, eliminating data uploads to protect privacy and security. The plugin also automatically injects image paths, enabling a model to read image content via MCP Vision. It requires Windows and DSH 0.1.x, and is well suited for users who need to perform local debugging or demos.

When collaborating with agents in DSH (DeepSeek Harness), sharing screen content is frequent: error logs, UI states, or images visible only in local applications. The typical approach is to manually take a screenshot and paste it into the dialog box. While the image enters the conversation, finding the original file later is difficult. Conversely, there is usually no ready-made entry point to allow the agent to "view the screen." @paicat1/dsh-screenshot consolidates these two tasks into a single plugin: users can capture screenshots via browser hotkeys, and only the PNG path is passed to the agent; the agent can also take self-service screenshots via a tool. The entire implementation is pure PowerShell, with zero dependencies and zero binaries. The following sections will introduce its features, installation, and usage.

`dsh-screenshot` is a Windows client plugin designed specifically for DSH Desktop to streamline the screenshot and input workflows. It triggers system screenshots via a camera button or global shortcut (default Alt+A) and automatically pastes the captured image into the DSH input field after selection, thereby reducing window switching and manual copy operations. The plugin's listener lifecycle is bound to the DSH Desktop process, supporting configurable auto-paste and background navigation features, along with reliability mechanisms such as debouncing and clipboard waiting. Installation requires Windows 10 (1809+) or Windows 11; the plugin can be enabled by adding it via GitHub or npm and restarting the application. While the web version is also usable, its functionality is more restricted compared to the desktop version due to limitations in foreground detection. This...
