The DeepSeek Harness (DSH) plugin `dsh-ledger-compact` addresses context load caused by long tool results. Through its “inbound shaping” and “mechanical folding” features, it processes results locally before they reach the model, allowing history to be compacted without additional LLM calls. Installation requires DSH version >= 0.1.2-rc.1, and it supports manually triggering compaction and viewing status. This plugin does not replace the default compaction engine, but you must keep `@deepseek-ai/dsh-compaction-basic` installed, and some PNG image features are restricted under certain conditions.
