dsh-round-table: Multi-Agent Collaborative Roundtable

The plugin mechanism of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) allows extension of its core behavior. In multi-agent development scenarios, developers often face fragmented context and collaboration workflows that are difficult to track. The dsh-round-table plugin aims to solve these issues. It provides a centralized “round-table” environment where multiple original agent windows can discuss, collaborate, and deliver results together.

What Is It

This plugin is developed by whateverboy2333 and licensed under the MIT License. It is a client-side plugin whose core value is to consolidate members’ work logs, shared materials, free-form steps, and independent secretary notes into a single meeting interface, while ensuring that members retain their original conversations and context.

Core Features

  • Round-table meetings: A unified collaboration environment.
  • Editable task cards: Generate and adjust task content.
  • Member workflows: Visualized task assignment.
  • Shared materials: Document archiving within the meeting.
  • Free-form steps: Support sequential, parallel, and manually orchestrated workflows.
  • Independent secretary notes: Automatically generate drafts of meeting notes.
  • Preservation of original conversations and context: Members’ actions during the meeting do not affect their original conversations.

Installation and Enablement

Host requirement: Windows DeepSeek Harness 0.2.0-rc.2, with the target profile set to desktop.

  1. Open the DeepSeek Harness plugin page in the desktop version.
  2. Add the plugin package dsh-round-table@1.0.0.
  3. You must fully exit the application (through the application menu or tray), then reopen it.
  4. Click “Round Table” in the sidebar to start using it.

You can also use the CLI included with the desktop release (make sure the dsh in PATH belongs to the current installation):

$desktopCli = Join-Path $env:LOCALAPPDATA 'Programs/DeepSeek Harness/resources/runtime/cli/bin/dsh.cmd'
& $desktopCli plugin --profile desktop add 'dsh-round-table@1.0.0'

Typical Usage

1. Create a meeting and select participants
Fill in the meeting goal, background, and workspace, then invite existing windows or create new members from host presets.

2. Discuss first
Type @ and select a member from the menu to send a normal question. If no member is selected, the content is only recorded in the meeting. Images and documents can be dragged in or pasted directly.

3. Generate a task card
When work needs to be executed, first @ a member and click “Generate Task Card.” At this point, the message body can be empty, and the generation process will not execute any work.

4. Review and then publish
Edit the message body directly, or ask the original generator to adjust it based on feedback. Confirm the responsible member and select the card, then click Publish. Members will only be notified to execute after publishing.

5. Continue follow-up
Check response status in the member log on the right side. The secretary can generate draft meeting notes. After verifying the facts, choose to publish them or send notifications.

Notes and Boundaries

  • Runtime environment: Desktop version only. Members run in the same DSH process, and only one round-table queue host runs under the same DSH_HOME. Cross-machine collaboration and scheduled notes are not supported.
  • File handling: Image delivery depends on model adapter support (the current DeepSeek adapter does not support it). Formats such as PDF, Office, and RAR are saved as complete original files and are not automatically parsed or extracted.
  • Workflow mechanism: Saving a workflow does not start work. Generating or adjusting task cards asks members to analyze them, while only publishing a card triggers the work defined in it.
  • Data management: Backing up data is recommended before upgrading. Permanently deleting a meeting requires secondary confirmation and there is no recycle bin. Regular members and work files are retained; stopping a meeting does not terminate the original agent.
  • Permission isolation: Members retain their original context and file permissions. Selecting meeting materials does not constitute permission isolation.

Summary

dsh-round-table provides DSH with structured multi-agent collaboration capabilities. By centrally managing task cards, logs, and materials, it simplifies interaction between agents. To view the full documentation or source code, visit the GitHub repository or the plugin directory.
