DeepSeek Harness’s official “Archive” only moves a session out of the sidebar; logs on disk will keep accumulating. The desktop app has no delete entry at all. This plugin adds a “Session Trash” section to Settings, making deletion something you can undo.
What This Is¶
This is a client-side plugin that adds session-delete capability to DeepSeek Harness. Owner: vi0let-dev. It supports delete-to-trash with restore, and permanent delete that fully cleans logs, workspace accounting, archive markers, and the host session table.
Core Features¶
- Settings section: Adds a “Session Trash” section to Settings.
- Delete and restore: When deleting, it first uses the official archive channel to move the session out of the sidebar, then moves the log directory and projection cache into the trash together (restorable). When restoring, the files are returned to their original workspace group, the archive is automatically removed, and the session immediately returns to the sidebar.
- Permanent delete: Actually deletes the log directory in the trash and cleans out the workspace accounting, archive markers, and active sessions in the host session table. This is unrecoverable.
- Empty trash: Permanently deletes all entries in the trash at once.
- Browse and filter: Supports browsing all sessions sorted by date and size, filtering by title / session ID / working directory, and shows the disk usage for each session.
Installation and Enablement¶
Environment requirements:
* DeepSeek Harness 0.2.0-rc.2 desktop or dsh web.
* Node.js ^22.19.0 || >=24.0.0 (the version bundled with DSH is sufficient).
Installation command (recommended to run from the command line):
dsh plugin --profile desktop add github:vi0let-dev/dsh-session-trash
After installation, fully quit and restart DSH, then hard refresh the page with Ctrl+Shift+R to see the entry in Settings.
Typical Usage¶
- Open Settings → Session Trash.
- Find the target in the list and click Delete. After confirmation, it is archived and moved out of the sidebar, and the files go into the trash.
- In the Trash section, click Restore. The files are returned and the archive is removed, and the session goes back to its original workspace group.
- If you are sure you no longer need it, click Permanent Delete, or click Empty Trash for the entire trash. This step deletes the files and removes this ID from the workspace ledger and archive set.
Use Cases and Notes¶
- Active or awaiting-interaction sessions cannot be deleted: The activity status is checked before archiving. If the session is active, deletion is refused.
- Permanent delete restriction: Permanent delete is only available for sessions that are not currently running.
- Access restriction: The interface must be accessed via
127.0.0.1/localhost; otherwise the API returns 403. - Dependencies and network: No build step, no third-party dependencies, zero network usage, zero dependencies, and it listens only on localhost.
- Installation method: Not published to npm. Direct GitHub installation creates a copy, and a local directory installation creates a symlink.
Conclusion¶
If you need to manage DSH sessions, especially to clean up disk space or manage workspaces, this plugin provides the cleanup capability missing from the official archive.
