Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) currently focuses on single-machine workflows. A dsh process serves a single machine, transport is limited to local loopback, and cross-machine coordination is not officially supported. To run the same project on your own Windows and macOS machines and compare results, cross-machine capabilities need to be built. The twinsearth/dsh-windows2macos plugin provides this cross-platform coordination capability.
Plugin Overview¶
This is a DSH plugin maintained by TwinsEarth. It allows the same project to be run on all online Windows and macOS machines using a single DeepSeek account, through the Rabbit relay and Localside agent. It uses P2P hole punching and bundles a relay and STUN responder to handle network restrictions.
Core Features¶
- Tools and Testing: Provides 11 tools, 82 suites, 2,228 tests, and 12 prechecks.
- Coordination Modes: Supports 4 modes: replication, sharding, broadcasting, and pipeline.
- Result Aggregation: Provides 6 aggregate verdicts: consistent, divergent, platform-divergent, failed, partial, and unverifiable.
- Network: Uses P2P hole punching by default. Bundles a relay, STUN responder, and ledger fallback. All machines only initiate outbound connections.
- Security: Uses Ed25519 keys for device signing. Permissions are disabled by default (hierarchical permissions).
- Architecture: Layered architecture with layer checks.
Installation and Enablement¶
Install the plugin:
dsh plugin add github:twinsearth/dsh-windows2macos
Joining the cluster requires a pairing code and the autoStartAgent: true configuration.
Typical Usage¶
Run a project on Windows and macOS machines from a single DeepSeek account. Use a single command to run tests on both machines and compare results.
Notes¶
- Version Discrepancy: The source code is 0.45.0, while the package is 1.0.10. The plugin lags behind the source code by more than 30 versions.
- Status: The plugin is not 1.0.0.
- Permissions: Permissions are disabled by default.
- P2P Hole Punching: The
P2P_PUNCH_FAILEDstatus is UNVERIFIED (uncertain).
Conclusion¶
This plugin addresses the cross-machine coordination problem that DSH currently lacks. You can view details in the plugin directory and on GitHub.
