Introduction¶
The design philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” Both the appearance and functionality of the Web GUI can be extended through plugins. dsh-mimo-skin is a plugin focused on visual customization. It does not add business logic; instead, it switches the DSH interface style to a warm paper-like surface with serif typography, similar to mimo.xiaomi.com, by overriding CSS variables only.
Plugin Overview¶
- Name: dsh-mimo-skin
- Maintainer: RonnyJung2021
- Category: Fun reskin
- License: MIT
- Core value: A pure skin plugin that gives the DSH Web GUI a new appearance
Core Features¶
The plugin mainly provides the following visual enhancements:
- Whole-page reskin: No new business features are added; only the appearance is changed. It covers page elements such as the sidebar, message pane, input card, menus, and code blocks.
- Light / dark shell: Provides two color schemes. The default setting is
auto, meaning it follows DSH’s own light/dark mode setting; if manually specified, it can force light or dark mode. - Top scrolling marquee: Adds a configurable horizontal scrolling text bar at the top of the window. Supports custom text, height (8–200px), and opacity (0–1).
- Automatic accent color calculation: To ensure text contrast meets AA standards, the plugin lets users set a base accent color (for fills). When rendered as text color, it is automatically calculated in reverse based on background brightness (darker text on light backgrounds, lighter text on dark backgrounds).
- Small footprint: It contains no extra font files or image assets and relies only on the DSH engine itself.
Installation and Enablement¶
The plugin can be installed via command line or DSH’s built-in plugin management interface.
- Command-line installation:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-mimo-skin
- GUI installation:
Open the GUI. In the sidebar, select Plugins → Add plugin, enterdsh-mimo-skin, and confirm the installation. After installation, click Enable now.
After installation, find dsh-mimo-skin in the sidebar under Plugins → Installed, then click to open its configuration card.
Configuration¶
The plugin provides six appearance configuration options. All options can be adjusted in real time in the GUI card and saved automatically.

You can also directly edit DSH’s configuration file profiles/web/cordis.patch.yml to add or override the above settings:
- insert:
- id: dsh-mimo-skin
name: dsh-mimo-skin
config:
theme: auto
accent: '#ff6700'
pattern: true
patternOpacity: 0.05
patternText: DEEPSEEK HARNESS
patternHeight: 26
enabled: true
Notes¶
- Dependency version: This plugin requires DSH version
>=0.1.5-rc.2. - Resource cleanup: After uninstalling the plugin, the stylesheet, injected palette, and top marquee are automatically removed. The page returns to the product’s built-in shell, with no residual files left behind.
- Runtime permissions: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. It is recommended to review the source code and license (MIT) before installation.
- Font limitations: The plugin does not include font files. The font stacks are fixed to the set built into the plugin and cannot be modified manually.
Summary¶
dsh-mimo-skin is suitable for users who want to personalize the visual appearance of the DSH Web GUI or pursue an editor experience similar to MiMo style. Through lightweight configuration, it implements whole-page reskinning and light/dark adaptation, and is a pure “reskinning” tool.
