Introduction¶
In the DeepSeek Harness development workflow, injecting consistent development rules or system prompts across different sessions usually requires modifying code or restarting services. The dsh-user-rules plugin provides a settings page that allows custom rules to be injected into the system prompt, enabling these rules to be managed without modifying code.
Plugin Overview¶
This is a client-side plugin created by a maintainer. It adds a top-level settings section named “User Rules” to the DeepSeek Harness Web interface, supporting adding, deleting, editing, and reordering rules. Added rules are injected as a system prompt section named user-rules for the model to use during conversations.
Core Features¶
-
Settings Page Management
The plugin adds a top-level section named “User Rules” in Settings. It provides a card-list editor that supports adding, editing, deleting, and sorting rules. -
System Prompt Injection
Added rules are concatenated and injected as a system prompt section nameduser-rules. The section order is set to-50to guarantee its position in the system prompt. -
Real-Time Editing
Rule data is declared as.volatile(). After editing rules, there is no need to restartdsh web; the model can immediately apply the new rules in the next turn of conversation. -
Configuration Persistence
Rule values are persisted in the plugin configuration of the active configuration file, ensuring that rules are retained across sessions.
Installation and Enablement¶
Install using the official npm package:
dsh plugin --profile web add @railgun52/dsh-user-rules@latest
After installation, you must restart the dsh web process for the plugin to take effect.
Usage Example¶
- Open the DeepSeek Harness settings interface.
- Locate the “User Rules” section.
- Add the specific rule text to the list.
- After editing and saving, the system reads the latest rule content during the next conversation assembly.
Notes¶
- The plugin runs under the permissions of the current DSH process; you should review the source code and license before installation.
- This plugin depends on the browser’s
window.__ModuleLoader__.loadprotocol. - The configuration file entry ID that owns the configuration must be equal to “user-rules”.
Summary¶
With this plugin, developers can flexibly manage prompt rules in the interface and improve development efficiency.
