Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture. When using the Kimi Code model, monitoring remaining quota usually requires switching tabs or entering the settings menu. The dsh-kimicode-usage plugin embeds quota status directly into the workspace, reducing context switching.
Plugin Overview¶
This is a DSH plugin maintained by Number444, designed to display the Kimi Code quota. It provides intuitive visual feedback through a toolbar badge and a settings panel.
Core Features¶
- Input Box Badge: Displays a compact pill badge (
● 5h:xx%) in the input box toolbar, located to the left of the model selector. - Quota Windows: Shows progress for the 5-hour rolling window and the weekly window.
- Status Indication: The dot on the badge changes color based on remaining quota (green/yellow/red).
- Interactive Popup: Clicking the badge opens a popup displaying progress bars, a reset countdown, and a refresh button. Click outside or press
Escto close it. - Settings Panel: The “Settings” section in DSH includes a “Kimi Code Quota” card, providing a full display, progress bars, and 60-second automatic refresh.
Installation and Enablement¶
Use the following command to install the plugin:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:Number444/dsh-kimicode-usage
If you use the desktop build instead of dsh web, use --profile desktop. Refresh the page after installation.
Usage¶
After installation, refresh the page. The badge will appear in the input box toolbar. Click the badge to view detailed statistics. In DSH settings, find the “Kimi Code Quota” card for a full view and manual refresh.
Notes and Security¶
- Security: API keys never leave the host process. The browser only communicates with the local proxy route (
/dsh-kimi-quota/api/usages). This route only accepts loopback requests; LAN clients will receive 403. The remote control UI re-publishes requests through a tunnel, so it remains functional. Upstream calls are read-only and do not consume quota. - Caching: Responses are cached in memory for 2 minutes.
- Compatibility: In older DSH builds, the settings section works, but the badge does not appear.
- Source Code: Check the repository for implementation details and the license (MIT).
Summary¶
This plugin provides local, secure Kimi Code quota monitoring for DSH users. It integrates through a toolbar badge and a settings panel, making usage tracking convenient.
