Introduction¶

When using agents in DeepSeek Harness (DSH), the Agent’s thinking process, tool calls, and parallel subagent states are usually hidden inside the application window. To monitor these states in real time, dual screens or frequent window switching are often required. The DSH Agent Dynamic Island plugin solves this problem by mounting the Agent’s real-time status bar into the desktop environment: on macOS, this is the physical notch; on Windows, this is the system status bar.

Features¶

The plugin provides the following capabilities:
* Real-time status display: Displays the Agent’s thinking, tool execution, and parallel subagent states in real time on the notch or status bar.
* Cross-platform compatibility: Supports the macOS physical notch and the Windows system status bar.
* Interactive switching: Click a conversation row to jump to and switch DSH sessions directly.
* Automatic installation: Automatically detects and installs missing apps.

Installation¶

1. Open DSH Desktop and go to “Plugin Management”.
2. Enter the installation address:

    git+https://github.com/myYangyunfan/dsh-deepisland.git

3. After installation is complete, click “Enable Now” in the pop-up.
4. Restart DSH to load the plugin.

Usage¶

• View status: Move the mouse to the notch or status bar to expand the panel and view the real-time status of each conversation.
• Switch sessions: Click a conversation row to jump directly to that session in DSH.
• Manage settings: Manage options such as the notch toggle and collapse-when-idle in DSH Settings.

Platform Differences¶

• macOS: Displayed on the physical notch at the top of the screen.
• Windows: Displayed on the status bar. Requires Electron >= 42. The installation package is relatively large (about 111 MB).

Notes¶

• DSH must be restarted after installation for the plugin to take effect.
• The Windows installation package is relatively large.
• The GitHub workflow permission for the project repository must be configured to the workflow scope.
