Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) follows an “everything is a plugin” architecture. When integrating third-party models (such as SenseNova), channel rate limiting (429) is common. Most plugins, when encountering consecutive rate limiting, fall into a “full-pool short-circuit” deadlock, causing the service to become unavailable.
dsh-sensenova-freeapi is an unofficial DSH LLM provider plugin. It registers the sensenova route and integrates with SenseNova’s OpenAI-compatible API. Through mechanisms such as multi-account API-Key rotation and a dual-list state machine for active/blocked states, the plugin converts channel rate limiting into stable operational states, avoiding service interruption caused by a single key failure.
Core Features¶
- Multi-account rotation: Supports 1 default account + multiple additional accounts. Through round-robin rotation and quota-related 429 sticky key switching, it distributes the rate-limiting pressure from a single key.
- State-machine management: Built-in active/blocked dual-list. When consecutive rate limiting occurs, the key enters the blocked state and backs off; 401 errors permanently disable the key; 429 errors do not trigger cooldown and do not disable the key.
- Security: Raw keys are stored in DSH’s credential service, never written to disk, and never leave the country. Error logs only record the hash fingerprint of the key.
- Monitoring and diagnostics: Provides an error record table (asynchronously written), a current model and parameters panel, and key status management (phase, strikes, blockedSince, etc.).
Installation and Activation¶
Run one of the following commands in the terminal:

After installation, DSH will automatically register the sensenova route.
Configuration and Usage¶
1. Preparation¶
- Register a SenseNova account and apply for an API Key.
- Configure the default credential environment variables:
SENSENOVA_API_KEYhttps://token.sensenova.cn/v1(base URL)
2. Configure Multiple Accounts¶
Go to the Models page in DSH and set accounts[] in the configuration panel. The plugin supports dual-account rotation; it is recommended to arrange keys by account alternately (for example, A1, B1, A2, B2) to reduce the probability of a single account reaching its limit.
3. Recommended Models¶
- deepseek-v4-flash: The preferred choice for daily use, code, and Agent processing.
- sensenova-6.8-flash-lite: The preferred choice for image reading/vision tasks, used together with the
dsh-sensenova-vision-aidplugin. - Note: It is not recommended to use
deepseek-flash(V4.1 version).
Applicable Scenarios and Considerations¶
- Applicable scenarios: Developers who need stable calls to SenseNova models, or scenarios that require handling frequent 429 errors to maintain service continuity.
- Unofficial statement: This plugin is maintained by the community and has no official affiliation with DeepSeek / High-Flyer.
- Feature reduction: Features such as the login flow, usage panel, plan windows, and command-line tools have been trimmed.
- Key management: Keys are stored only in DSH’s credential service and are not written to local files.
- Rate limiting awareness: SenseNova’s 429 rate limiting is normal and does not indicate account abnormalities. When a 429 is encountered, the plugin automatically performs key rotation or enters a blocked waiting state.

dsh-sensenova-freeapi solves common rate limiting and deadlock issues in third-party model integration. Through fine-grained key state management and automatic rotation mechanisms, it helps DSH maintain stable operation in high-concurrency rate-limiting environments.
