Foreword¶
The core design philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything as a plugin.” In web-based development, large language models (LLMs) can usually only answer questions in plain text. If developers need to display data charts or interactive controls, they typically have to write additional front-end code. To solve this pain point, the left0ver/dsh-intelligent-ui plugin was created. It enables the model to directly output a user-interactive interface.
Plugin Introduction¶
This plugin belongs to the DSH client ecosystem and is maintained by the developer left0ver. Its core value is: when the model generates an answer, it does not only output text, but also generates executable code that renders a local interface containing various controls and charts.
Core Features¶
- Instant Rendering: Each part generated by the model is displayed in real time without waiting.
- Local Interaction: When users drag sliders, edit input fields, or switch tabs, the interface recalculates instantly without needing to request the model again.
- Rich Controls: Supports sliders, input fields, dropdowns, checkboxes, tabs, buttons, tables, progress bars, badges, alerts, collapsible sections, and color palettes.
- Chart Support: Supports line charts, bar charts, area charts, and pie charts.
- Sandbox Isolation: Generated code runs in a sandbox environment, with no network access and no ability to access the original page data.
Installation and Usage¶
Installing this plugin requires using the DSH CLI.
dsh plugin --profile web add @left0ver/dsh-intelligent-ui
After installation, start the web interface to use it.
dsh web
When using it, simply ask questions as usual. There is no need to specifically mention the plugin. For example, you can input:
I take home $6,000 a month and spend $1,800 on rent, $700 on food, $300 on transport and $500 on fun. I want to save $50,000 for a down payment. Show me where my money goes and how long it will take.
Notes¶
- State Is Not Saved: In the current version, interface state is not persisted. After refreshing the page, all settings will be reset.
- Interactions Are Invisible to the Model: The model cannot see your actions in the interface, so follow-up questions cannot determine the position to which a slider was dragged.
