dsh-cpa-switch: Managing CLIProxyAPI Accounts in DSH

Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin architecture, while CLIProxyAPI (CPA) account management typically requires opening a separate web console. The dsh-cpa-switch plugin integrates CPA’s management features into DSH’s plugin panel, supporting account balance viewing, check-ins, task execution, and account switching.

This project is maintained by cslkkl, licensed under the MIT License, and currently has 1 star. After installing the plugin, the CPA core, channel plugins, and admin key are handled automatically by the plugin, without requiring manual preparation.

Installation and Enablement

Install the plugin through DSH’s plugin manager:

dsh plugin --profile <profile> add dsh-cpa-switch

On first startup, the plugin automatically downloads and configures the CPA core, channel plugins, and required keys. If the host already has CPA, the plugin attempts to reuse the existing configuration.

Core Features

The plugin provides the following capabilities:

  1. Account management: View balances (available/used), perform one-click check-ins and tasks, and switch the currently used account.
  2. Process hosting: The plugin controls starting and stopping CPA, so CPA runs when DSH is enabled and stops when DSH is disabled.
  3. Automatic model registration: After installation and adding an account, chat models from the four channels automatically appear in DSH’s model selector.
  4. Model selection restrictions: You can uncheck models through the panel toolbar to hide them from the chat interface’s dropdown list, but the models themselves remain available.
  5. Thinking level: Supports enabling or disabling the model’s thinking process output.

Usage

After installing and starting the plugin, follow these steps:

  1. Open the panel: In the DSH interface, go to “Plugins” -> “CPA Switcher”. The panel displays the status of the four channels—WorkBuddy, Trae, Qoder, and ZCode—in four separate tabs.
  2. Add an account: At the end of each channel list, click “+ Add Account”. The system opens a browser for OAuth login.
  3. Select a model: In DSH’s model selector, models are displayed in the format “Channel · Model name”. When selecting a model, only accounts under the current channel are used; cross-channel round-robin is not performed.
  4. Hide a model: In the CPA Switcher panel toolbar, click the “Models” button, uncheck unwanted models, and save to hide the model in the chat interface.
  5. Thinking level: In the model selector, each model supports switching between “Off” and “On” levels. Thinking process is enabled by default.

Configuration Explanation

Main configuration items include:

  • manageLifecycle: Controls whether the plugin is responsible for starting and stopping CPA (default true).
  • reasoningEfforts: Controls whether the model’s thinking level can be toggled (default true).
  • maxOutputTokens: Sets the per-model output cap pushed to the host, used to avoid DSH fallback truncation (default 384000). Note: This configuration currently takes effect only in the WorkBuddy channel; other channels may be handled by the server or client.
  • autoCheckinOnStart: Sets whether automatic catch-up check-in is performed when DSH starts (default true).

Notes

  1. Platform limitation: Currently only Windows is supported, and CPA is provided as a Windows executable.
  2. Download limitation: On first run, the plugin needs to download files from a GitHub Release. Ensure network access is available.
  3. Status display: The panel displaying “Enabled” does not mean the account is currently available. It may be temporarily unavailable due to rate limits or other reasons; verify it in a chat.
  4. Key security: Admin keys are stored only on the host side and are not sent to the browser. The plugin performs all operations on your behalf.
  5. Channel plugin updates: Channel plugins are not upgraded automatically. The panel will prompt you to update; click update manually to avoid compatibility issues.
  6. Output cap: For the Qoder and Trae channels, the declared output cap may not take effect immediately. Wait for upstream support or adjust it manually.

Summary

dsh-cpa-switch integrates CLIProxyAPI’s management workflow into DSH through a plugin, solving the problem of frequently switching windows for account management. For users who need to manage multichannel AI accounts, it provides a centralized control panel.
