dsh-kb-sync: DeepSeek Harness Plugin

Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) plugin for orchestrating a synchronization pipeline from user-owned DeepSeek web history to a local knowledge base. It moves the existing synchronization logic to a same-origin control page, enabling one-click execution, status and log viewing, and integrity health checks.

Core Capabilities

  1. Uses DSH subprocess: Runs the command you configure.
  2. Reads status and logs: Displays progress.
  3. Integrity health check: Runs the check command you specify.
  4. Pulls conversations: Uses the userToken in the DSH credentials service to call chat.deepseek.com and retrieve the conversation list. Only fetches new or resumed threads, normalizing them into conversations/*.md + conversations.l + catalog.json.
  5. In-plugin search: Searches the knowledge base.
  6. Full backfill: Supports full backfill.

Installation

Install the standard dsh.bundle plugin with zero dependencies and no client-side build step.

dsh plugin --profile web add github:284022719/dsh-kb-sync

After installation, restart DSH. DSH must provide the webServer and subprocess services (both are available by default in 0.2.x), and Node ≥ 20.

Usage

Open the control page: http://127.0.0.1:<DSH Web port>/__dsh-kb-sync/.

  1. Paste userToken: Paste it once; it is stored only in the DSH credentials service and not written to a plaintext file.
  2. Pull new conversations (incremental): Fetch only new or resumed threads and generate files.
  3. Full backfill: Use the official export package, parse it, and merge it into the knowledge base.
  4. Search: Search the knowledge base within the page.
  5. Run existing sync script / health check / status refresh: Operate via the control page.

Security and Limitations

The plugin is split into two halves: one half reads credential values and can make network requests; the other half does not read credentials and does not make network requests.

Red line: Reading credential values + having network access. This is an inevitable consequence of the “self-pull” half. The red line should be blocked by default; if you want to continue using it, you must acknowledge the risk in settings.

What it does not do:
* It does not write tokens to any file/log/response.
* It does not access any address other than chat.deepseek.com.
* It does not read the contents of credential files; it only reads modification times.
* It does not register prompt sections, does not modify the core bundle, and has no installation script.

Limitations:
* It is a pure host-side half and requires the host to provide the subprocess service.
* Status updates use polling (every 3 seconds while running).
* The UI copy is currently in Chinese.
* Node >= 20.
