Introduction¶

The design philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” In Web GUI development or usage scenarios, the bottom-left corner of the sidebar is a common display area. If you need to display real-time cryptocurrency prices (such as BTC and ETH) in the sidebar without introducing complex dependencies or configuring API keys, dsh-plugin-crypto-ticker provides a zero-dependency, key-free solution.

Plugin Overview¶

This is an online utility plugin maintained by 18569663yz-web, installed by default in the bottom-left corner of the DSH Web GUI sidebar. It displays the prices, 24h changes, and mini trend charts of mainstream tokens such as BTC, ETH, SOL, and JUP. The plugin provides pulse feedback when prices tick, and supports multi-source data fallback and automatic adaptation to system proxy settings.

Core Features¶

• Red for rises, green for falls: Follows the display convention in the Chinese market.
• Real 24-hour data: Retrieves actual 1-hour candlestick data from OKX or Binance, rather than decorative charts.
• Price pulse feedback: Price increases are marked red and decreases green, accompanied by a brief visual pulse for quick recognition of changes.
• Multi-source fallback: Data source priority is OKX → Binance → CoinGecko. If all sources are unavailable, the plugin retains the last known price and greys it out instead of clearing the interface.
• Host-side cache: Multiple tabs share the same data, avoiding duplicate requests to upstream APIs.
• Automatic adaptation to system proxy: At runtime, the plugin automatically detects and adapts to Windows system proxy settings, resolving direct-connection issues under mainland China network conditions.
• Zero dependencies, no key required: No external API keys are required; ready to use out of the box.

Installation and Activation¶

Install it using the official command:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:18569663yz-web/dsh-plugin-crypto-ticker

After installation completes, you must restart dsh web for the change to take effect (for the desktop app, fully quit it and reopen it).

Configuration¶

The configuration options are written in the profile’s cordis.patch.yml. All are optional.

• Add tokens: Add other tokens (such as BNB and XRP) via the symbols option.
• Refresh frequency: Adjust the refresh interval via the schedule option.
• Proxy settings: Control whether to use a proxy via the proxy option (only http:// proxies are supported).

Known Limitations¶

• Display scope: Only Web GUI display in web/desktop profiles is supported; headless profiles or profiles without a sidebar are not supported.
• Candlestick limitation: The CoinGecko free API does not support candlesticks. When only CoinGecko is available, the trend chart degrades to a curve of real-time readings within the current session.
• Hard-coded copy: The UI text is hard-coded in Chinese and is not connected to DSH’s locale dictionary.
• Proxy protocol: Only http:// proxies are supported; https:// proxies are not supported.
• Data ownership: Market data copyright belongs to the respective exchanges and is intended for personal reference only.
