Overview¶

In the plugin ecosystem of DeepSeek Harness (DSH), file transfer is a frequent operation when agents interact with local environments. Manually copying files between Windows and WSL (especially model shards or large datasets) is inefficient. The dsh-wsl-download plugin solves this problem through the win_download tool, allowing users to directly list or copy the contents of the Windows Downloads folder from WSL.

What This Is¶

This is a DSH plugin version 0.2.0 and is part of the dsh-wsl-kit install set. The win_download tool is responsible for listing or copying the contents of the Windows Downloads folder into the WSL workspace, and it provides path hints for ModelScope, Hugging Face, and GGUF playbooks. The plugin itself does not start download tasks.

This plugin can be installed as part of an install set or installed on its own.

Typical Usage¶

• List Windows Downloads in WSL:

win_download list

• Copy Windows Downloads to WSL:

win_download copy <filename>

• Hint ModelScope/HF/GGUF paths:

win_download hint

Applicable Scenarios and Notes¶

• Applicable scenario: Need to use model files or datasets downloaded on Windows in WSL.
• Notes:
• The plugin does not start downloads; it is only responsible for file management.
• The minimum DSH version requirement is 0.1.2.
• Cloud Flash model configuration (for example, using deepseek-flash V4.1 Flash) must be configured in ~/.dsh/settings.yaml / llm-deepseek; this plugin does not handle this configuration.
• Check the source code and license before installation.
