When developing with DeepSeek Harness (DSH), running in a WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) environment may cause DNS resolution issues. DNS behavior differs between Windows and WSL, which can lead to connection problems when accessing services such as GitHub, DeepSeek, or npm. The dsh-wsl-dns plugin is designed to solve this issue by comparing DNS resolution results between WSL and Windows, helping developers identify endpoints with inconsistent resolution.

Plugin Overview¶

dsh-wsl-dns is a DSH plugin whose core function is dns_doctor. It compares the behavior of WSL’s resolv.conf with Windows DNS resolution and flags endpoints where the results differ.

npm test

When the command above is executed, the plugin automatically intervenes and compares the resolution results.
