Introduction¶
When running agents with DeepSeek Harness (DSH), confirmation requests or task completion statuses shown in page popups are often overlooked by users, especially when idle or switching windows. In addition, manually monitoring GPU/CPU utilization usually requires opening Task Manager. JingBao Voice Pet is a DSH plugin that addresses these issues by vocalizing confirmations and questions, announcing task completion, and displaying real-time system resource usage. Built on MiniMax H3 image-to-video technology, it provides smooth animations and serves as both a utility and a companion desktop component.
Core Features¶
The plugin mainly includes the following capabilities:

Voice reminders and announcements
- Confirmations and questions: When a “confirmation required” dialog appears on the page or when the Agent asks a question, JingBao will remind you with a speech bubble and a voice announcement. The voice uses a dedicated voice line (Qwen3-TTS), and it will automatically stay quiet after the popup is handled. It can also intelligently recognize popup dismissal and auto-approval to prevent duplicate announcements.
- Task completion: When the conversation turn-end footer (
data-turn-tail) is detected, it automatically announces “Task completed”. This is triggered by a real task completion flag and will not generate false positives from session statistics or background task cards.

Real-time performance monitoring
- By enabling the “Performance Monitoring” feature from the right-click menu, JingBao displays real-time CPU, memory, and GPU utilization (refreshed every 1 second).
- GPU utilization is used as the task “heartbeat” indicator: fluctuating values indicate the task is in progress, while static values usually indicate task completion or being stuck. The monitoring service is built into the plugin and automatically starts and stops with DSH.

H3 real animation and interaction
- Using MiniMax H3 image-to-video technology, it generates smooth animations with seamless first and last frames and no ghosting. The animations include waving, blinking, making heart gestures, yawning, and dozing off.
- Supports click/drag/zoom interactions: left-click triggers a cute voice and heart effect; holding and dragging triggers a held animation; mouse wheel adjusts size (128~512).

Emotional companionship and state machine
- Dozing state machine: After 3 minutes of inactivity, JingBao yawns, a 💤 appears above its head, and it tilts its head while dozing; it wakes up when the mouse moves.
- Time announcements and care: Supports the hour announcement, holiday greetings, reminders to rest after 50 minutes of continuous work, and reminders to sleep after 10 p.m.
Installation and Configuration¶
Note: Starting from v1.8.0, the plugin uses the official bundle structure, so there is no need to manually copy directories or configuration files. The asset storage location has been changed from the frontend dist directory to the assets directory inside the package, to support the read-only file system on the desktop client.
Installation Command¶
Use the official CLI to install it:

After installation, restart the corresponding host (press Ctrl+F5 for the web version; for the desktop version, exit from the tray and then restart it).
Upgrade Notes¶
If you are upgrading from v1.7.0 or an earlier version, you must uninstall the old version before installing the new version. v1.8.0 introduced a breaking structural change (adopting the official bundle), so the old version cannot be updated directly. The path to remove the old installation is usually:

Then remove the relevant plugin ID from cordis.patch.yml in each profile.
Usage¶
After installation, JingBao will appear on the conversation page.
- Enable monitoring: Right-click the desktop pet, select “Enable Performance Monitoring”, and view CPU, memory, and GPU utilization.
- Interactions:
- Click: Triggers a cute voice and heart effect.
- Drag: Hold and move it to reposition it; the position is remembered.
- Zoom: Use the mouse wheel to adjust the size (128~512).
- Volume control: Adjust using the volume slider in the right-click menu; supports muting and a global voice on/off switch.
Notes¶
- Desktop client limitations: The desktop client does not have a refresh shortcut (Ctrl+R/F5 is blocked). After modifying the configuration, you must exit via right-click on the tray icon → Exit, and then reopen the program. For a temporary refresh, you can execute
location.reload()in the Developer Tools Console. - Hardware dependency: The GPU monitoring feature requires an NVIDIA graphics card.
- Legacy compatibility: The old version is structurally incompatible with the new version, and it cannot be upgraded directly via “Update Now” in the right-click menu. You must uninstall it and reinstall it.
