In development scenarios for DeepSeek Harness (DSH), agent workflows and community communication are often disconnected. The DSH-Guild plugin aims to solve this problem by integrating Discord-like community features directly into the DSH panel. It supports real-time chat, @ mentions, file transfer, permission management, and DSH session sharing, allowing community content to integrate seamlessly with your Agent workspace.
Feature Overview¶
DSH-Guild provides a complete set of community operation and collaboration capabilities:
- Account and Identity: Supports email registration (6-digit verification code), password login, forgot-password recovery (completable directly in the panel), and changing usernames and avatars.
- Community Management: Supports creating/joining public or private communities, joining via invitation code; provides public community discovery and search; supports official community seeds; provides member management (kick, ban, transfer ownership) and community deletion.
- Channel System: Supports three channel types (text, announcement, topic). Announcement channels are read-only for all members by default; topic channels can be automatically archived after 24 hours without a reply.
- Permissions and Roles: Uses a Discord-style role model, supporting custom roles, fine-grained permission bits (view channels, send messages, manage, etc.), and channel permission overrides.
- Discussion Groups: Supports creating private or public discussion groups under a channel, with optional entry passwords.
- Message Interaction: Supports editing/deleting/pinning messages, emoji reactions, and search (with time-range filtering). Supports pasting or drag-and-drop attachment uploads.
- Real-time and Presence: Provides WebSocket-based real-time connections, supporting reconnection, typing indicators, online user counts and aggregation, read-status reporting, and mention notifications.
- Collaboration and Sharing: Supports inviting members (in-app message + email), sharing DSH sessions (packaged sharing), and cloning sessions.
Installation and Enablement¶
Before use, ensure your environment meets the following requirements: Node.js ≥ 20, pnpm installed, and access to npx @deepseek-ai/dsh.
- Install the plugin:
npx @deepseek-ai/dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-guild@0.0.3
- Start DSH Web:
npx @deepseek-ai/dsh web
- Configure a proxy (optional):
The server is deployed by default on Cloudflare (https://dsh-guild-api.huiwang.fun). Users in mainland China are recommended to route this domain through a proxy in their proxy tool to ensure a stable connection.
After startup, a DSH-Guild (Community) entry appears at the bottom of the DSH sidebar. On first use, register with an email and verify the code in the panel; then you can create or join a community.
Typical Use Cases¶
- Plugin authors managing communities: Used to publish plugin update announcements, collect user feedback, and triage technical discussions.
- Team or group internal collaboration: Keep communication alongside DSH session context for easier collaboration.
- Session sharing hub: Create public communities, operate a session sharing hub, and allow users to clone DSH sessions.
Configuration and Limitations¶
The core service for DSH-Guild runs on Cloudflare. The client (browser) and host (Node.js) communicate via REST APIs and WebSockets.
In the plugin configuration on the DSH settings page, you can adjust the following parameters:
* serverUrl: Defaults to https://dsh-guild-api.huiwang.fun; can be changed for self-hosting.
* autoReconnect: Automatically reconnects WebSocket disconnections (enabled by default).
* share.maxSizeMb: Maximum size limit for session sharing packages (default 50MB).
Usage limits:
* Each user can create up to 20 communities and join up to 20 communities.
* Community creation is subject to a rolling rate limit of 5 per 24 hours.
Ecosystem Background¶
The DSH philosophy is “everything is a plugin,” and the community directory is an independent site. This plugin is maintained by third-party developer seolhw under the MIT license.
