By default, DSH (DeepSeek Harness) interaction is typically command-line based. For developers accustomed to graphical interfaces or who need to view conversations, code, tasks, and session lists simultaneously, a single terminal window may be insufficient for complex scenarios. The dsh-tvision plugin introduces a Turbo Vision-style character cell window manager, aiming to provide DSH agents with a well-structured interactive environment that supports overlapping windows.
Functional Positioning¶
This is a character-interface window manager designed for DeepSeek Harness agents. It has the following core features:
- Window Management: Displays overlapping bordered windows on a textured desktop.
- Interactive Controls: Includes a Borland-style menu bar, function key strip, and mouse drag functionality.
- Skin System: Built in with five different interface skins.
- Plugin Form: Installed as a standard DSH configuration package, rather than a fork of the main program.
Installation and Enablement¶
Before using this plugin, ensure the environment meets the following conditions:
* Node.js version ^22.19 or >=24
* dsh CLI tool is installed
- Clone the repository and install dependencies
git clone https://github.com/hongxin/dsh-tvision
cd dsh-tvision
npm install
npm run build
- Add it to the DSH configuration file
dsh plugin --profile tvision add "$(pwd)"
Typical Usage¶
After installation, you can start or use the plugin with the following commands.
Local Demo¶
If you only want to view the interface effect, no API Key configuration is required; you can run the demo script directly:
# 启动默认皮肤(Turbo Vision 蓝)
node lib/demo.js
# 列出所有可用皮肤
node lib/demo.js --list-skins
# 使用特定皮肤(如琥珀色 CRT)
node lib/demo.js --skin amber
Starting a DSH Session¶
Use the --profile tvision parameter to start agent interaction:
# 启动交互
dsh --profile tvision
# 恢复指定会话
dsh --profile tvision --resume <session-id>
# 启动时禁用鼠标
dsh --profile tvision --skin amber --no-mouse
Updating the Plugin¶
dsh plugin --profile tvision up dsh-tvision
Configuration¶
API Configuration¶
Before use, you must configure the DeepSeek API key.
- Environment Variable: Set
DEEPSEEK_API_KEY. - File Configuration: Create a
.envfile in the startup directory or under$DSH_HOME. - Custom Endpoint: If using a local or self-hosted endpoint, set the environment variable
DEEPSEEK_BASE_URL, or setllm-deepseek.baseURLin$DSH_HOME/settings.yaml.
Update Check¶
The plugin automatically checks for updates on startup. To disable this check, set updateCheck: false in the tvision line of the configuration file.
