Intro¶
DSH’s plugin architecture allows extending functionality on top of gal-view (the main GAL view package). The gal-eat plugin uses the galViewExt extension point to mount the HUD and eating page to the stage, introduces three stat tracks for AI characters (Whale Coupon, Satiety, and Affinity), and provides the complete “Go Eat at the Food Street” flow.
Core Features¶
- Stat System: Adds three stat tracks for AI characters: Whale Coupon, Satiety, and Affinity.
- Eating Flow: Provides the complete flow: choose a restaurant → order dishes → eat → taste rating.
- Built-in Assets: The package includes 3 backgrounds and 30 dish assets (approx. 3.5 MB), ready to use out of the box.
- Idle Gains: Whale Coupon +2 per minute while idle.
Installation and Enablement¶
This plugin depends on the main gal-view package. Install the main package first, then this plugin. After installation, DSH must be restarted for the changes to take effect.

Stats and Gameplay¶
Data is stored in the browser’s localStorage (key name gal-eat:state:v1) and persists across sessions.
Rules Overview¶
- Whale Coupon: +2 per minute while idle. If Whale Coupon reaches 0, the character “faints from hunger” (answers end with complaints and cannot send messages; click “Go Eat” to recover).
- Satiety: -1% every 5 minutes. After eating, adds 20/40/60/80/100% (corresponding to the 100/200/300/400/500 coupon tiers).
- Affinity: +1 every 10 minutes. After eating, additionally increases by
price × 12.5%(rounded up). When Whale Coupon is 400 or above, affinity gains from eating are additionally increased by 10/20/30. Every 100 Affinity points correspond to 1 level. - Daily Purchase Limit: The same dish at the same shop can be eaten only once per day; the limit resets at 4:00 AM daily.
Assets and Licensing¶
- Asset Overrides: The plugin package includes compressed assets. If customization is needed, place files with the same names in the user override directory:
