Overview¶

The core architecture of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) supports extending functionality through plugins. For HarmonyOS development scenarios, the dsh-deveco plugin integrates frequently used developer tools—HiLog log monitoring, a Chrome DevTools-style ArkUI Inspector, an ArkTS syntax highlighting viewer, and device management tools—into the right sidebar of the DSH Web UI. It aims to reduce tool-switching cost and provide a one-stop development assistance experience.

Features¶

HiLog Inspector¶

Provides real-time log stream viewing. It supports filtering by log level (Error/Warn/Info, etc.), package name, and custom keywords. Users can start or stop the log stream in real time using the control buttons in the UI.

ArkUI Inspector¶

Adopts the classic three-column layout design of Chrome DevTools:
* Device screenshot and interaction: Click “Dump UI” to capture the current UI snapshot. Clicking the screenshot directly selects the corresponding UI node, automatically expanding and locating that node in the component tree.
* UI component tree: Displays the component hierarchy, supporting display of custom component names and collapse/expand operations. Supports switching between the DevEco debug source and the accessibility tree source (uitest).
* Node properties and box model: The right panel displays the node’s raw properties and supports search filtering by attribute name or value. The bottom provides simulated operations such as Tap, Swipe, and Text.

ArkTS Syntax Highlighting Viewer¶

Supports viewing .ets files directly in the DSH sidebar. Provides syntax highlighting for keywords, decorators, comments, strings, and numbers. Content is read in pages through the official remote.workspaceFiles.read interface.

Agent Tools and Configuration¶

Agent tools: Registers the harmony_ui_tree tool, which Agents in a conversation can call directly. It returns an indented tree structure or a JSON-formatted UI tree, including component names, bounds, and declared values.
Toolchain configuration: In the Settings page, you can configure the DevEco Studio path and the HarmonyOS Command Line Tools (CLT) path. The plugin supports cross-platform (Windows/macOS/Linux) automatic discovery of default installation paths and validates that the CLT version is 26.0.0 or higher. The DevEco Studio path and CLT path are mutually exclusive.

Device Management¶

Provides device list management, supporting listing devices connected via USB or network. Users can manually enter a device IP and port for network connection, or disconnect with one click.

Installation and Enablement¶

Run the following command in the terminal to install the plugin:

dsh plugin --profile web add @duke-dsh-plugins/dsh-deveco

After installation, restart the DSH process for the plugin to take effect.

Typical Usage¶

Configure paths: Before first use, go to the HarmonyOS Suite section in the DSH Settings page, scan and save the DevEco Studio or CLT path.
View logs: Start the HiLog Inspector in the right sidebar, filter by a specific package name or keyword to view real-time logs.
Agent invocation: Ask the Agent in a conversation to call the harmony_ui_tree tool to retrieve the current device’s UI structure for automated testing or analysis.
Network debugging: In the Device Management section, enter the device IP and debug port to connect.

Notes and Limitations¶

DSH version requirement: Only DSH ^0.2.0-rc.1 and above are supported. 0.1.x versions are not supported because they lack the right sidebar API.
CLT version validation: The configured CLT version must be 26.0.0 or higher.
Debug source limitation: When using the DevEco debug source, the application must be in debug mode, and the debug socket on the application side must be idle (i.e., the Inspector panel in DevEco Studio is not occupying the connection).
Path mutual exclusion: The DevEco Studio path and CLT path cannot be configured simultaneously; setting one automatically clears the other.
