dsh-chat-plus: DeepSeek Harness Enhanced Chat Experience Suite

Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is a plugin-architecture-based platform that allows users to extend functionality without modifying the core source code. For developers who frequently use tools, manage multi-turn context, and deliver visualized content, the native conversation view has room for improvement in information density and interactivity.

dsh-chat-plus is an experience enhancement suite for the DSH web client. Through the Cordis plugin mechanism, it injects execution visualization, interactive cards, workbench management, and other capabilities with zero source code changes, aiming to make the conversation process more transparent and the output richer.

Core Features

Seeker Dual-Column Execution Dashboard

A “Seeker” tab is added in the conversation header, alongside the official “Chat” tab. This view uses a dual-column layout:
* Left column: Retains all features of the official ChatView (multi-turn history, virtual scrolling, Markdown), while keeping only a one-line status card (avatar, status description, elapsed time) and hiding tool details.
* Right column: Displays the execution dashboard, containing five cards:
1. Tasks: Real-time projection of the current round’s todo_write or official todos.
2. Operation Panel: Translates low-level tool calls into clear, human-readable language, retaining only key changes, failures, and in-progress status, while automatically hiding file operation details.
3. Sub-agents: Displays independent sessions spawned by this conversation; each full row is clickable to jump.
4. Artifacts: Lists files generated in this conversation, with preview support in the right column.
5. Memory: Pinned to the bottom, showing only newly added memory entries in this session.

In-Content Interactive Cards

The plugin directly renders multiple card types in the conversation flow, replacing traditional code block display.

  • HTML Sandbox Card: Supports real HTML/JS code. The card runs in an independent iframe with only allow-scripts enabled, providing relatively high security. Supports preview, copying source code, and full-screen viewing. When the model streams HTML, a placeholder is displayed first, and after the content is closed, it automatically becomes a real card. This feature is enabled by default.
  • iu Native Interactive Cards: By sending commands starting with /iu in the input box, triggers rendering of 16 types of native cards, including slider, chart, table, checklist, kanban, form, timeline, diff, tree, gauge, quiz, graph, arch, sequence, and piano. Among them, graph, arch, and sequence are the graphics trio, support automatic layout, and are enabled by default.
  • Chat Screenshot and Download: Supports rendering the conversation content into a long image (supporting multiple resolutions and themes), with a progress-bar download tool attached.

Six Workbenches

The sidebar integrates six functional modules:
* Memory: Automatically accumulates long-term memory across sessions.
* Soul: Manages persona settings, supporting role switching and preset loading.
* Capabilities: Manages skills and MCP servers.
* Usage: View Token consumption and trends.
* Gallery: Centrally displays artifacts such as images, web pages, and documents.
* Mailbox: Integrates Tencent Agent Mail, providing features such as sending and receiving emails and downloading attachments. Write operations require two-stage confirmation.

Provider Center

A provider management entry is integrated into the official settings, supporting API Key configuration, network proxy, image generation, image recognition, video generation models, and AnySearch.

Installation and Enablement

Installing the plugin requires the official CLI. The command is as follows:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:Kr-ATG/dsh-chat-plus

After installation is complete, restart the DSH client to take effect. The plugin declares dsh.bundle.patch, and the installation command automatically adds it to the bundles layer of the profile, without requiring manual modification of the configuration file.

Typical Usage

  1. Use HTML cards: In the conversation, input a ```html fence, and the model will render an interactive HTML page (such as a counter or simple prototype).
  2. Use iu graphic cards: Input /iu draw a flowchart, and the model will automatically generate a flowchart card with automatic layout; input a command starting with /iu to generate native interactive cards.
  3. Use iu calculation features: Input /iu calculate for me, and the model will generate a calculator or data table card.

Notes

  • Zero source code changes: The plugin runs through Cordis injection, and official upgrades usually do not affect compatibility.
  • Security: HTML cards run in a sandboxed iframe, and scripts cannot access the page DOM or session data.
  • State persistence: The state of iu cards (such as check state and drag position) is stored in the browser’s localStorage, so it is not lost when the page is refreshed.
  • Mailbox feature: Email-sending operations require two-stage confirmation to ensure security.
  • Font size linkage: The card font size in the left column of the Seeker view follows the official “Settings → Font Size” adjustment.

Conclusion

dsh-chat-plus adds visual execution monitoring, rich interactive cards, and structured workbench management to DSH via a plugin-based approach. It does not change DSH’s core logic, but enhances the client’s presentation and interaction capabilities to improve the development and usage experience.
