Introduction¶

The plugin ecosystem of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) aims to improve development efficiency through standardized Agent tools and sidebar extensions. For teams using Subversion, invoking svn commands directly in the Agent or reviewing complex version diffs often requires additional scripts or external tools. The dsh-svn-tools plugin is designed to address this issue. It provides a complete set of svn_* tools for the Agent and a visual SVN panel for users.

Plugin Overview¶

dsh-svn-tools is a Subversion toolset designed for DeepSeek Harness. It includes 33 svn_* Agent tools and supports UTF-8 Chinese commit logs. It also provides an SVN panel that can be rendered in DSH’s built-in right sidebar or dsh-better-sidebar. The plugin is maintained by zengweicheng666 and released under the MIT license.

Sidebar Panel¶

• Dual host support: The panel can be rendered in DSH’s built-in right sidebar (a kind: svn tab) or in dsh-better-sidebar. The host type is configured in settings and supports auto (default), native, better-sidebar, or off (do not register the panel).
• Visual diff: Provides a side-by-side version comparison view, with diff block navigation and direct working-copy modifications (keep left / keep right / keep both).
• Main tabs:
  • Changes: View file status and perform batch operations.
  • Commit: Select files, enter a commit log (supports AI-generated logs), and automatically tidy up before committing.
  • History: View the revision list, perform revert/restore operations, and compare read-only.

Modes and Compatibility¶

• Offline / read-only mode: When the service is unreachable, history can be read from the local log cache or working-copy metadata, and read-only operations are supported.
• Automatic pre-commit tidying: Unversioned files are automatically added via add, missing files are automatically deleted via delete, and the results are reported faithfully.
• DSH compatibility: Compatible with DSH 0.1.0-rc.6 and later (0.2.x uses the configuration form, 0.1.x uses the card).

Installation and Enablement¶

Run the following command in a terminal to install the plugin:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:zengweicheng666/dsh-svn-tools

After installation, you must restart dsh to complete settings registration and panel mounting.

Prerequisites:
1. The svn command-line client must be installed on the system (svn.exe on Windows).
2. To use the sidebar panel, the DSH version must be >= 0.1.0-rc.6 (built-in right sidebar), or install dsh-better-sidebar.

Typical Usage¶

1. View changes: After restarting dsh, open the SVN tab in the right sidebar and view changes in the current working directory.
2. Agent operations: Ask the Agent to use tools in the conversation, for example svn_status to view changes and then svn_commit to commit.
3. Diff operations: On the Changes tab, hover over a diff block and choose “Apply left” or “Apply right” to directly modify the working-copy file.

Notes¶

• No required dependencies: The panel host can be configured independently, or not registered at all (use Agent tools only).
• Environment requirements: Chinese Windows console output prefers UTF-8 and falls back to GBK on failure.
• Panel host: The panel requires a host (DSH 0.1.0-rc.6+ built-in right sidebar or dsh-better-sidebar). If neither is available, the panel is not registered, but the Agent tools are unaffected.

Summary¶

dsh-svn-tools fills the gap in Subversion version control integration for DeepSeek Harness by providing unified Agent tools and a visual sidebar panel. It not only enables the Agent to perform complete SVN operations, but also provides users with an intuitive version management interface.
