Introduction¶
In DeepSeek Harness (DSH), the sidebar accumulates more and more sessions, making it difficult to find a conversation from last week. Alternatively, to avoid manually creating new sessions, all content is crammed into a single conversation, causing topics to mix together and details to be lost during compression.
Rather than creating sessions manually, let the plugin take over the process. TheOne’s core logic is “One chat for everything”: you only need to speak in one main conversation, and the plugin creates independent sessions in the background for each thing while keeping the context of each project isolated.
What It Is¶
TheOne is a memory-management plugin maintained by community developer YunongDai2005. It is positioned as “One chat for everything in DeepSeek Harness (DSH): no more digging through old conversations.” It uses background routing to dispatch your single input to the corresponding independent session, thereby achieving context isolation.
Core Features¶
- Single chat entry: All work is done in one main chat window.
- Independent session management: Each message is assigned to the independent session it belongs to, without manual creation.
- Context isolation: Keep the context of each project separated, so they do not interfere with one another.
- Unified model usage: Directly use the model you selected in DSH, without needing to enter an additional API key.
- Session cataloging: After installation, it reads your existing sessions and turns them into a topic directory grouped by work area.
Installation and Enablement¶
Ensure your DSH version is 0.2.0-rc.2 or later and the Node.js environment version is 24.
- Configure the API in DSH and select an available chat model.
- In DSH, open Plugins -> Add plugin, enter
dsh-theonein Package name or address, and then click install. - In the sidebar, find TheOne · Main chat, click to enter it, and start chatting.
Typical Usage¶
- Just say it: To start new work, say it directly in the main conversation; there is no need to create a new session.
- Mention it: To continue previous work, simply mention it, and TheOne will automatically find the corresponding session.
- Say “wrong topic”: If the topic goes off track, say this phrase, and TheOne will route the message to the correct session.
Notes¶
- Unofficial project: TheOne is an independently maintained community project and has no official association with or endorsement from DeepSeek.
- No extra API key: The plugin directly uses the model already configured in DSH and will not ask you to enter a new key.
- Version restriction: DSH only installs versions released at least 24 hours earlier. If you encounter a “Too new” error, wait one day or enter the GitHub address directly to install it.
- Uninstall: Uninstall the plugin on the Plugins page. TheOne only organizes existing sessions and does not delete any chat records.
