Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness Web provides the ability to manage agents and code in a browser. Performing Git operations directly in a web environment is often not intuitive enough, and traditional terminal operations are isolated from the browser environment. dsh-lazygit-plugin provides a visualized Git workbench for DeepSeek Harness Web, allowing developers to check repository status, perform common Git operations, and safely execute AI-generated step-by-step command proposals directly in the browser.
Plugin Overview¶
This is a Git client plugin that runs on the DeepSeek Harness Web side.
- Name: dsh-lazygit-plugin
- Maintainer: IT-coder-Yy
- License: MIT
- Stars: 7
- Positioning: A visualized Git workbench that supports repository inspection, common Git actions, and safe execution of AI-generated workflows.
Core Features¶
The plugin covers the main scenarios in the Git workflow:
- Browsing and inspection: Browse the commit graph and inspect commit details (message, parents, changed files, and diffs); view diff comparisons including new and old line numbers and hunks; preview changes before merging.
- Change management: Browse the directory tree and scroll hunks independently; stage or unstage individual files or all changes.
- AI assistance: Draft commit messages with the AI Generate feature; chat with a standalone Git assistant to review proposed commands and risks, and execute multi-step proposals.
- Conflict resolution: Compare current, incoming, and result content in a three-pane editor, choose to keep one side, or edit manually.
- Branching and merging: Manage local branches, tags, and stashes; merge using normal, fast-forward, or squash strategies.
- Synchronization: Manage remote synchronization status and perform operations such as fetch, pull, and push.
Installation and Enablement¶
Before installation, ensure the environment meets the requirements: Git, Node.js (^22.19.0 || >=24.0.0), and DeepSeek Harness Web are ready.
If dsh-easygit-plugin is already installed on the system, it must be removed first; otherwise, it will cause conflicts.
- Remove the old plugin:
dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-easygit-plugin
- Install the new plugin:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-lazygit-plugin@0.5.1
- Start DeepSeek Harness Web:
dsh web
After opening a Git repository session in the Web interface, click the Git button next to the editor, and the workbench will open in the right sidebar.
Typical Usage¶
The following are commonly used workflows supported by this plugin:
- Review and commit: Review diffs in the Changes panel, stage the files you want to commit, click AI Generate to draft the commit message, and then commit after confirmation.
- Multi-step operations: Expand the Git assistant in Suggestions, have the assistant analyze the problem and generate command proposals, and execute them step by step after confirming the risks.
- Commit correction: Click the latest commit in History, choose Amend to edit the commit message or Undo to revert the commit while preserving the changes.
- Branch merging: Select the target branch in the Merge panel, preview the changes, and then merge by choosing a merge strategy (normal/fast-forward/squash).
Notes¶
- Dependency check: The plugin depends on Git and a specific version of Node.js; ensure the environment is configured correctly.
- Legacy plugin compatibility: Before installation, make sure
dsh-easygit-pluginis not installed. - AI configuration: Before using the AI Generate feature, the model must be configured in the session.
- Diff size: For very large diffs, it is recommended to stage them in batches before calling AI to generate commit messages, to avoid exceeding the context limit.
- Security restrictions: The plugin never automatically performs force-pushes; manual confirmation is required.
Conclusion¶
This plugin ports the interactive logic of LazyGit to the DeepSeek Harness Web side, lowering the barrier to performing Git operations in a Web environment. For more details, refer to the plugin directory or the source code repository.
