DeepSeek Harness (DSH) treats all capabilities as plugins, and web search is a core component. This plugin replaces the built-in web_search with a provider-neutral, agent-native search core.

Installation
Use the official DSH command to add the plugin to the desktop profile:
dsh plugin --profile desktop add github:JerryLiu369/agent-web-search
Usage
After installation, the web_search tool in DSH is replaced by this plugin’s provider set. You can verify the standalone tool installation via CLI:
agent-web-search --version
agent-web-search "What changed in the latest OpenAI Codex CLI?"
Scenarios and Notes
This plugin is suitable for DSH desktop and web users, as well as Hermes and Python application developers. The underlying project requires Python 3.10+. Default providers (DDGS, Exa, Parallel) do not require an API key, and DDGS is the only conventional search backend. Please check the source code and license (MIT) before installation.
