fnOS CLI Skill: DeepSeek Harness Plugin for fnOS CLI

Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture to extend its functionality. For developers who need to manage the fnOS CLI through an Agent, the fnOS CLI Skill plugin provides a bridging solution that mounts the CLI into the DSH environment.

Plugin Overview

fnOS CLI Skill is a DSH plugin for fnOS CLI, maintained by fnnas-labs. The plugin itself contains generated documentation and integration files, but it does not include the source code or binaries of the native CLI. It is primarily used to invoke fnOS CLI within the DSH environment.

Core Features

  1. Public Bridge Installation: The plugin installs the public bridge into the specified DSH configuration files.
  2. Dependency Resolution: When the plugin resolves dependencies, it automatically requests the @fnnas-labs/fnos-cli@latest version.
  3. Agent Execution Flow: The Agent first loads fnOS CLI, then follows the local invocation instructions inside that CLI package to execute it.

Installation and Enabling

Install the plugin through DSH:

dsh plugin --profile headless add github:fnnas-labs/fnos-cli-skill

Note: Existing installations are not automatically updated. To update, manually repeat the installation command above.

Typical Usage

Use the plugin for authorization and verification.

Authorization Flow:
1. The Agent generates an authorization link.
2. Open the link in a browser, complete the login, and approve access.
3. Send the returned one-time code back to the Agent.

Verification Request:
After successful authorization, you can run a read-only request to verify:

fnos-cli --profile home system info

Use Cases and Notes

This plugin is suitable for users who need to manage or operate fnOS CLI through a DSH Agent.

When using it, please note the following:

  • Code Sensitivity: One-time authorization codes and tokens are highly sensitive. Chat logs, tool records, and process parameters may retain these codes. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or refresh tokens in public places or over insecure channels.
  • Installation Does Not Equal Login: Installing the plugin itself does not automatically complete login or write authorization information.
  • Source Distribution: This repository does not include the source code or binaries of the native CLI.
  • TTY Constraints: DSH uses package-local launchers to handle calls in non-TTY (terminal-less) environments.

Summary

fnOS CLI Skill provides a standardized Agent invocation entry point for fnOS CLI through DSH. Developers can use this plugin to integrate fnOS CLI capabilities into DSH workflows.
