When developing agents in DSH, monitoring the actual usage of skills often depends on the model proactively reporting it or manually inspecting logs. The model may forget to mention that it invoked a specific skill, making auditing difficult. dsh-echocat-skill-panel solves this by providing a visual audit report and a built-in management interface.
Plugin Overview¶
- Name: dsh-echocat-skill-panel
- Maintainer: VDERR
- Core Value: DSH skill invocation auditing + in-app skill manager
- Description: Tracks which skills are used in each turn and lets you install, uninstall, and update them directly within the app. The determination does not rely on self-reporting; the plugin infers from the session event stream which skills were invoked in the current turn (model automatic, manual
/name, or not invoked at all).
Installation and Enablement¶
This plugin must be installed via the command line. After installation, DSH Desktop Beta must be restarted.
git clone https://github.com/VDERR/dsh-echocat-skill-panel.git
cd dsh-echocat-skill-panel
& "./安装-3.0.ps1"
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-echocat-skill-panel
The installation script handles backup manifests, mirrors, cleanup of old package names, connection setup, and manifest modifications. The plugin’s peerDependencies (such as @deepseek-ai/dsh-llm) are provided by the DSH runtime.
Core Features¶
-
Invocation Audit
- The top bar immediately above the input box displays a one-line conclusion and four counters (turns / skills used / not used / invocation count).
- Click the top bar to expand the full report.
- The audit determination does not depend on the model self-reporting; even if the model forgets to mention it, the invocation is still reported.
-
Skill Management
- Install, uninstall, and update skills directly within the application.
- Each skill has a switch. Disabling it moves the directory out of DSH’s watch scope, while enabling it moves it back.
- Supports 485 named UI adjustments, including validation for light and dark themes.
-
One-Click Quote
- On a skill card, click “Quote,” and
/nameis appended to the draft box; press Enter to invoke it.
- On a skill card, click “Quote,” and
-
Installation and Updates
- Supports pasting a full URL (GitHub repository, folder, SKILL.md, zip, etc.) and automatically determines whether to clone or download.
- Same-name entries do not silently overwrite: back up first, then replace.
- Update mechanism: the source is recorded in
.echocat.jsoninside the skill directory. When the remote has a new commit, it is marked as “Updatable”; double-click to replace, and the old version is moved to backup.
-
Background Customization
- Supports four styles: liquid, soft gradient, solid color, and local image.
- Left-side live preview; changes can be canceled at any time.
- Images are processed locally (JPG/PNG/WebP, up to 8MB), not uploaded, and skill data is not modified.
Typical Usage¶
- Open DSH Desktop Beta and locate the top bar above the input box.
- Click the top bar to expand the full report and see which skills were invoked in the current turn.
- On a skill card, click “Quote,” and the command
/nameis appended to the input box. - On the panel’s installation page, paste a GitHub repository link to install a skill.
Notes¶
- Same-Name Handling: Same-name entries do not silently overwrite; a backup is created before installation.
- Deletion Mechanism: Deleted skills are not hard-deleted; they are moved to a backup directory and can be restored at any time.
- Local Processing: Background images are scaled and processed locally, not uploaded to the cloud, and skill data is not modified.
- Client-Side Limitation: Affects the current client only; cross-device synchronization is not claimed.
- Forced Restart: DSH Desktop Beta must be restarted after installation for changes to take effect.
