Introducing the dsh-agent-team Plugin for DeepSeek Harness

The core design philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” In the default session mode, an Agent’s state is often reset when the session ends, lacking long-term memory. For team workflows that require cross-session continuity and persistent collaboration, an independent solution is needed.

contexera/dsh-agent-team is a plugin designed for this purpose. It provides DSH with persistent Agent teams, allowing members to retain their memory, notes, and skills even after session interruption, restart, or context rollover. The plugin is maintained by Contexera and licensed under MIT.

Core Features

This plugin mainly addresses long-term memory and collaboration for Agents:

  • Persistent members: Each member has independent memory, notes, and skills, and this state persists after the session ends.
  • Workspaces and channels: Use Workspaces to organize teams for different projects, and use Channels to route work responsibilities.
  • Task threads: Manage a single work progression line, including Claims, Agent handover, human takeover, and follow-up replies.
  • Context management: Supports Rollover, Checkpoint, and Compact modes, allowing Agents to manage context autonomously without manual intervention.
  • Web client: Provides a visual interface for creating workspaces, managing members, sending messages, and handling tasks.
  • Agent toolset: Provides Agents with seven tools: team_inbox, team_thread, team_attention, team_message, team_dm, team_claim, team_view.

Installation and Activation

Before enabling Team mode, verify the DeepSeek Harness version. The certified DSH version is DSH 0.2.0-rc.2. If you are using DSH 0.1.7-rc.2, install @wowyuarm/dsh-agent-team 0.1.15; if you are using DSH 0.2.0-rc.1, install 0.2.0.

The following are the steps to enable the plugin:

  1. Install the plugin
Use the dsh command to install the plugin into the web profile configuration.
dsh plugin --profile web add @contexera/dsh-agent-team@0.2.3
  1. Start the Web UI
After the plugin is installed, start the DSH Web interface.
    dsh web
  1. Verify the configuration
Before starting the UI, you can use --dump-config to check whether the configuration file contains entries such as wowyuarm-agent-team-scope and wowyuarm-agent-team-client.
    dsh --profile web --dump-config

Typical Usage

In the browser, navigate to Team mode in the DSH navigation bar; this is the main entry point for using the plugin. A typical workflow is as follows:

  1. Enter Team mode.
  2. Select or create a Workspace.
  3. Create a new channel in Channels and send the first message.
  4. Add an Agent in Agents, and select its initial Channel.

Use Cases and Notes

This is an optional plugin. After installation, the default settings for normal DSH sessions remain unchanged; Team-related features are loaded only when Team mode is used.

  • Version compatibility: Always use the plugin version that matches your DSH version; otherwise, features may not work correctly.
  • Execution method: Do not start the plugin from a source checkout using pnpm dsh web; you must use the compiled CLI tool.
  • Permission management: The default team-member preset grants managed Agent Sessions danger-full-access permissions. Create Agents only in trusted workspaces.

Summary

dsh-agent-team transforms Agents from temporary session instances into persistent team members. Combined with workspaces, channels, and task threads, it is suitable for scenarios that require long-term collaboration and knowledge accumulation.
