dsh-relay-fast: A Relay Enhancement Plugin for DeepSeek Harness

Introduction¶

When developing agents with DeepSeek Harness (DSH), connecting to relay proxies often involves tedious model list maintenance, reasoning parameter configuration, and speed policy control. dsh-relay-fast is a plugin developed by Rock-ql that addresses missing model synchronization, automatic parameter completion, and flexible control of model invocation priority (Fast/Standard) in relay configurations.

Core Features¶

This plugin provides the following three core capabilities:

Automatic reasoning effort completion: Automatically fills in the reasoningEfforts parameter for newly created models in llm-pi-ai. The plugin is compatible with both openai-completions and anthropic-messages protocols and does not override existing declarations on the model.
Model synchronization: Supports synchronizing missing model lists directly from the relay’s /models endpoint in the DSH settings page.
Dynamic Fast toggle: Provides visual toggle control. The toggle is shown only when the endpoint explicitly declares Fast capability or when the user enables it explicitly in configuration. When enabled, requests include service_tier: priority.

Installation and Activation¶

Run the following command in the terminal to install it:

dsh plugin --profile desktop add github:Rock-ql/dsh-relay-fast

After installation, you must restart DSH Desktop for the plugin to take effect. If you are using a Web environment, replace desktop in the command with the corresponding profile name.

Configuration Description¶

The plugin behavior can be adjusted by overriding the cordis.patch.yml configuration file under a profile. The following example enables autofill, specifies the Fast tier, and defines the default speed:

If fastModels is not configured, the plugin will only trust explicit Fast capability metadata returned by the relay’s /models endpoint and will not guess based on model name.

Notes¶

Relay compatibility: Enabling the Fast toggle guarantees the service_tier: priority field is sent, but the relay may ignore the field. Actual acceleration depends on the upstream service implementation.
When changes take effect: DSH Desktop must be restarted after configuration changes.
