Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) adopts a plugin-based architecture, allowing features to be extended without modifying core code. dsh-chat-tune is a web plugin intended to address style and interaction customization needs in the session area of the web interface. It does not rely on modifying official components; instead, it achieves effects by overriding official CSS variables and a client overlay.
Plugin Overview¶
This plugin is maintained by xingyingyuzhui and falls under the “Fun Reskin” category. After installation, it adds a “Chat Area UI Settings” option in the “Settings → General Settings” panel of DSH, below “Appearance”. All user preferences are stored under the dsh-chat-tune:prefs key in localStorage.
Core Features¶
The plugin provides adjustment capabilities in the following dimensions:
- Text Style:
- Font Size: Provides small 13, slightly small 14, standard 16, large 18, extra large 20, or custom 8–48px options.
- Font: Supports system default, sans-serif, serif, monospace, PingFang, Source Han Sans.
- Line Spacing: Provides compact 1.4, moderate 1.6, standard 1.75, relaxed 2.0, very loose 2.4, or custom 1.0–3.0 options.
- Paragraph Spacing: Provides compact 8, tight 12, standard 16, relaxed 24, very loose 32, or custom 0–80px options.
- Layout Width:
- Display Width: Provides narrow 640, standard 748, wide 900, extra wide 1100, or custom 480–2000px options.
- Interaction Details:
- Code Block Following: When enabled, code blocks are displayed using the selected font.
- Input Box Following: When enabled, the width of the bottom input box is synchronized with the content width.
- Input Box Edge Widening: When enabled, the width drag handle only takes effect on both sides of the bottom input box, preventing accidental triggering in the middle of the message area.
- Scroll Pinning: When enabled, the current user message is fixed to the top of the viewport in a sticky manner (similar to Cursor), with timestamps and copy buttons always displayed.
Installation and Activation¶
Prerequisite: dsh web must be runnable on your local machine.
dsh plugin --profile web add github:xingyingyuzhui/dsh-chat-tune
After installation, restart dsh web. Go to “Settings → General Settings” and you will see the “Chat Area UI Settings” panel below “Appearance”.
Development and Uninstall¶
Local development requires Node.js >= 20.

Uninstall command:
dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-chat-tune
