What Is This¶

skillhub-plugin is a DeepSeek Harness plugin used to search, install, and manage SkillHub skills within conversations. It is maintained by cocofhu and licensed under MIT.

Core Features¶

1. Search skills using public APIs, or browse skills by category.
2. Display clickable cards in the conversation flow, including name, category, download count, and description.
3. Detail pages include an overview, version history, and TRACE evaluation; the header bar shows AI ratings, verified publisher, and security badges.
4. Install via zip download to the local machine with version specification; supports listing and uninstallation.
5. The settings page allows viewing installed skills and one-click updates to the latest GitHub release.
6. A plugin plaza is available at the bottom of the sidebar: open an independent panel in the chat area to browse SkillHub skills and DSH plugins.
7. Search DSH plugins directly in conversations and display plugin cards, with one-click direct installation on the card (in-place progress bar), completion notifications, and a one-click restart prompt.
8. The plugin plaza supports an “All / Installed” toggle: local read-only previews of installed plugins (source spec, version, README) and Meta cards for installed skills (file count, size, last update time).
9. The installed-skill tool card in conversations is upgraded to a Meta card consistent with the plaza.
10. The interface follows the Harness language setting (Chinese/English).

Installation and Enablement¶

First, confirm the environment meets the requirements:

• Node.js 22 or higher
• pnpm 11
• DeepSeek Harness Web

Then use the installation command below. Use skillhub-plugin as the installation name; do not install with github:cocofhu/skillhub, and do not use the unprefixed skillhub from npm.

After installation, restart dsh web and force-refresh the browser. It is recommended to bind dsh web to 127.0.0.1 during runtime—do not listen on 0.0.0.0.

Typical Usage¶

You can directly tell the Agent:

• Find a skill that can handle PDFs
• Search SkillHub for weekly reports
• What skills do I have installed
• Uninstall that one just now
• Search for a DSH plugin for browser automation
• Install the first plugin

After the search is complete, view the cards in the conversation; click for details before installing. When installing DSH plugins, you can install directly from the card and view the progress, then restart dsh web as prompted after completion.

Applicable Scenarios and Considerations¶

Suitable for developers who want to manage SkillHub skills or DSH plugins within DSH Web. Before using, treat it as a third-party capability entry point rather than an official application store.

These boundaries should be noted:

• Installing third-party skills means placing files on your local machine that the Agent can read.
• Skill packages come from third parties; the plugin does not execute the code within them.
• Installing DSH plugins from the plaza installs third-party code into the web profile.
• DSH plugins run with the permissions of the current dsh process; always review the source code, license, and origin before installation.
• The plugin only requests SkillHub public HTTP APIs and writes skill packages to the configured skills directory; icons are proxied through the local plugin service.
• Custom API addresses should only point to services you trust.
