When working in the DSH web interface, you may sometimes need to place your focus timer and current working window in the same location. DSH’s philosophy is “everything is a plugin,” so you can attach a Pomodoro timer as a web plugin to the DeepSeek Harness Web UI. Below is an introduction to causebefore/dsh-pomodoro.

What Is This¶

dsh-pomodoro is a DeepSeek Harness web plugin that adds focus and break cycles to the DSH web interface. It provides a sidebar entry, a draggable floating panel, configurable durations, phase control, and in-app reminders with optional notifications when a phase ends. The maintainer is causebefore, and it is licensed under MIT.

Installation and Enablement¶

First, confirm the environment:

• DeepSeek Harness >=0.1.0-rc.7, with records showing it was verified on 0.1.1-rc.2.
• Node.js ^22.19.0 or >=24.0.0.
• DSH profile is web; the headless profile does not provide a UI.
• pnpm is accessible from the command line.

First, install:

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-pomodoro

Then start or restart:

dsh web

After the above steps, if a dsh-pomodoro button appears at the bottom of the sidebar, the plugin has been loaded.

Typical Usage¶

In the web interface:

1. Click the dsh-pomodoro button at the bottom of the sidebar to open or close the panel.
2. Drag the title bar to adjust the panel position.
3. Start, pause, reset, or skip the current phase in the panel.
4. Use the panel’s Mini / Expand toggle to switch between compact layout and full controls.
5. Open the DSH settings page:

Settings → Plugins → Plugin configuration → Pomodoro

Configure focus duration, break duration, auto-start, sound, and system notifications.

If you prefer to install within the Web UI, the records also provide two optional community paths.

First, install dsh-market:

dsh plugin --profile web add dshmarket

Then restart DSH Web:

dsh web

Open:

Settings → Plugin Market

Search for dsh-pomodoro and install it.

Another path is to install dsh-find-plugin:

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-find-plugin

Restart DSH Web:

dsh web

Then have the agent install dsh-pomodoro. These are community paths and should not be interpreted as an official app store.

Applicable Scenarios and Notes¶

Suitable for developers who want to keep a Pomodoro timer next to the DSH web interface.

Note the following limitations:

• DSH is still in developer preview; after upgrading DSH, plugin compatibility needs to be re-checked.
• The plugin only applies to the web profile; the headless profile cannot provide this UI.
• System notifications require DSH to be served from localhost, 127.0.0.1, or HTTPS, and the DSH page must remain open.
• When all DSH pages are closed, the browser cannot play sounds or send notifications at the exact deadline; the next time DSH starts, the timer will be restored and any expired phases will be settled and reported once.
• The plugin runs with the permissions of the current dsh process. Before installation, it is recommended to review the source code, dependencies, and the MIT license to confirm they meet your usage requirements.
