Preface¶

DSH’s “everything is a plugin” approach allows the Web UI’s presentation layer to be extended through plugins. For developers who only want to adjust the interface appearance—without directly modifying the DSH source code or worrying about a theme affecting other plugin layouts—a toggleable, rollback-able theme plugin is a more reliable approach.

dsh-client-ui-aqua-unofficial is an unofficial Aqua glassmorphism theme plugin for the DeepSeek Harness Web UI. It is a community fork that adds DSH rc.7 compatibility on top of the upstream project.

Core Features¶

• Mica Mode: Transforms the layout into floating glass cards, with adjustable blur and frost settings.
• Compatibility Mode: Keeps the original layout while replacing materials with a universal glass texture.
• Background: Supports fluid panels or custom wallpaper backgrounds; wallpapers can be images or videos.
• Background Brightness: Adjusts with light/dark mode; dark mode dims it, light mode brightens it.
• Particle Effects: A toggleable particle whale/fish effect can be displayed on the right side of the chat area.
• Badge: Displays a glossy Harness badge in the sidebar during dark mode; the original badge is retained in light mode.
• Edge Effects: 5px gradient blur fade bands at the top and bottom edges of the page.
• Rollback: Disabling the plugin fully restores the original UI and removes all effects.
• rc.7 Compatibility: v1.4.0+ adds DSH rc.7 compatibility, involving keyed slots and the aqua settings namespace.

Installation and Enablement¶

Recommended installation command:

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-client-ui-aqua-unofficial

After executing the command, reload the Web UI. v1.4.1+ includes a dsh.bundle patch, so dsh plugin add can register it automatically; for v1.4.0, you need to manually add the ui-aqua line to cordis.patch.yml.

If you prefer not to use the package installation command above, you can use the GitHub fallback.

On Windows, you can run install.ps1:

On macOS/Linux, you can manually integrate it by following these steps:

1. git clone the repository:

2. Create a symlink.

3. Add a configuration with id: ui-aqua to cordis.patch.yml.

Typical Usage¶

• After installation and a Web UI reload, Aqua is enabled by default.
• The master switch is located at Settings → Plugins → Glass theme.
• Other controls are located at Settings → General → Appearance:
• mode
• blur/frost (Mica)
• fluid color
• background brightness
• backdrop and particle-whale toggle
• With the master switch disabled, the entire control block under Appearance is hidden.
• After disabling the plugin, the original UI is restored, and all effects are removed.

Applicable Scenarios and Notes¶

It is suitable for scenarios where you need glassmorphism themes, custom backgrounds, retaining the original layout, or the ability to roll back to the original UI on the DSH Web UI at any time.

Important notes:

• This is an unofficial community third-party fork—not an official DeepSeek product. It has no affiliation with or endorsement from DeepSeek and is not associated with the @deepseek-ai package scope. Use at your own risk.
• v1.4.0+ targets @deepseek-ai/dsh-* rc.7; earlier versions still run on rc.5/rc.6.
• The package.json current version is 1.4.1, with dependencies and peerDependencies pointing to rc.7-related packages.
• The community directory is an independent site with no official affiliation to DeepSeek / High-Flyer; the plugin runs with the permissions of the current dsh process. Please review the source code and license before installing.
