Preface¶

When using external model providers with DSH, you typically need to complete plugin installation, save API Keys, and confirm the base URL and model list. @jiesou/dsh-cline-free-provider provides an integration wrapper for Cline’s free models: it connects Cline’s free models to DSH for use, and automatically syncs and filters free models when the plugin starts.

Installation¶

First, install the plugin. Install from npm (pre-built artifacts, recommended):

dsh plugin --profile web add @jiesou/dsh-cline-free-provider

After Installation¶

After completing the installation steps above, you need to save Cline’s API Key. Cline’s API Key is saved through the DSH credentials service with the variable name CLINE_API_KEY, which can be filled in on the Web Models page.

Selecting Models¶

After saving the API Key, select the Cline provider and models on the Web Models page. The model list requires no configuration — the plugin automatically syncs and filters all free models from remote when it starts.

Use Cases and Notes¶

This is suitable for users who need to integrate Cline’s free models with DSH. If you are using the Cline Pass subscription plan, you can directly configure the official API endpoint and API Key according to the Cline Pass official documentation without needing this plugin.

The DSH ecosystem emphasizes plugin-based architecture; the community directory is a standalone site and does not equate to an official app store. DSH plugins run with the permissions of the current DSH process, so you should review the source code and license before installation. This plugin is licensed under MIT. The package.json declares peerDependencies version ranges, such as @deepseek-ai/cordis >=4.0.1 <5 and @deepseek-ai/dsh-credentials >=0.1.1-rc.2 <0.2.
