dsh-plan-switch: One-click Switch Button for /plan in DSH Web Input Bar

Preface

DSH uses an “everything is a plugin” approach to extend its capabilities. For DSH web users who frequently use Plan mode, manually typing /plan is a common but repetitive operation. dsh-plan-switch moves this toggle action into the input toolbar: click a button, and the official /plan command is executed.

What This Is

dsh-plan-switch is a DeepSeek Harness (DSH) web client plugin, independently developed and maintained by community member a903067276-rgb. It is not an official DeepSeek product. The license is MIT. It provides a one-click shortcut button to enter/exit Plan mode without altering the official Plan mode’s state logic.

Core Features

  • Provides a checklist icon button at the left end of the DSH web input toolbar for one-click Plan mode toggling.
  • Clicking the button executes the official /plan toggle command.
  • When Plan mode is active, the button is automatically hidden; status display is handled by the official plan card to avoid duplicate indicators.
  • The button is disabled while the /plan toggle is queued to prevent accidental reverse toggling.
  • Follows Plan mode state changes in real time via the official projection.
  • Uses official DSH design tokens and follows dark/light themes.

Installation and Enablement

  1. Ensure pnpm is in your PATH; dsh plugin forwards to pnpm.

  2. Run the following installation command:

dsh plugin --profile web add "github:a903067276-rgb/dsh-plan-switch#main"
  1. After installation, restart dsh web before use.

  2. After an update, restart dsh web; if only client-side code changed, a page refresh will suffice.

Typical Usage

  • After installing and restarting dsh web, a checklist icon button appears at the left end of the input toolbar.
  • Clicking this button enters Plan mode, equivalent to typing /plan.
  • When Plan mode is active, the button hides, and status display is taken over by the official plan card.
  • While the /plan toggle is pending, the button is disabled to prevent a second click from causing a reverse toggle.

Use Cases and Notes

  • Suitable for scenarios where you use DSH web and want to reduce manual /plan typing.
  • This is a pure client-side plugin: no host routes, no file writes, no data storage.
  • Not an official project; the community plugin directory is an independent site and does not equate to the DeepSeek official app store. Review the source code, dependencies, and MIT license before installation.
  • The plugin loads with the DSH web client and runs with the current dsh process permissions; even if the documentation states it writes no files and stores no data, it is recommended to review the code before enabling it.
  • Version compatibility is best-effort; compatibility with older DSH versions is not guaranteed. The documentation specifies DSH web requirement as >= 0.1.0-rc.6; the code calls 3-argument commands.execute (rc.8+), automatically falling back to 2 arguments on rc.6/rc.7. Additionally, engines.dsh in package.json is >=0.0.1, and the documentation notes this inconsistency.
  • package.json declares peerDependencies: @deepseek-ai/cordis ^4.0.1-rc.1.
  • Fully tested on macOS; expected to work on Linux/Windows but not tested.
